Could be. You should be able to visually inspect it once you pull out. It’s like a mushroom and if the top has crushed the bottom (say the stem of mushroom) it’s time for a new one. Can’t remember the space on the replacement but there was a healthy gap there.

This engine appears almost identical to the 3.2 in my 2014 Volvo XC60.

Nice, did you replace by mileage or vibration/harsh shifts? I'm hoping to do this soon. Also, have you done the LHS hydraulic trans mount? I'm unsure where to put the jack + wood for that one

P I replaced because it collapsed and I had trouble reinstalling my intake hose as a result (angle was off). I have not dealt with the other but I’m sure it’s pretty straight forward.

Hi, great video! I can feel sightseeing vibration when putting into gear with my foot still on the brake. Could this mount cause this kind of issue?

Getting the bracket holes to align with the one on the mount and the three on the engine, so all four bolts could be easily started, seemed easy. What if they don't line up so well?

Success. Thank you for the video. My coolant reservoir had wiring that was easy to miss and then yank on without realizing. For those wires that need to not be pinched by the bracket, it seemed advisable to replace the missing protective flexible plastic conduit to avoid the insulation wearing off later.

Nice video! I am experiencing a slight grinding upon cold start. Also occurs when turning the wheel right and accelerating. Read online that the passenger side mount is hydraulic. Does this sound about right? Any info helps, thanks.

@@ericaviator8869 believe it or not the first symptom was not being able to put the intake pipe back on properly. I ended up having to go to the dealership for help and that’s when they indicated that it was because the mount had failed.

Actually - believe it or not, I was unable to get my throttle air pipe back on after multiple attempts (it would not hold tight to the throttle). When I brought it to the dealership I told them I was losing my mind because getting pipe back on was so simple but it would not fit. The mech told me that when that mount fails, the angle of engine changes just enough to make it very difficult to install that large pipe.
