RHS Malvern Spring Festival 2024 🌱 FESTIVAL OF HOUSEPLANTS!

What an incredible 4 days spent at the RHS Spring Festival in Malvern. It's an event I've always wanted to attend, but Greenrooms Market organising the festival of houseplants this year was the push I needed to actually go. There were the most insane selection of tropical houseplants, cacti and succulents, it was genuinely quite overwhelming (and I came away with a huge haul). I hope this vlog can give you a little insight into the festival if you weren't able to make it yourself!

Congratulations on the new plants. The joy of new plants is always something very special. I hope that this doesn't increase your plant burnout. Too many new plants distract from the others and then things can quickly go wrong again

I Love that Beautiful Cactus Flower, I have been wanting one of those cactus for quite awhile, but cannot afford one yet. Within the next few months I hope. So it was very exciting to see the flower. Wow 🤩 amazing plants. That large Euphoria Ingens variegated is gorgeous with a branching at the side. I say that one was expensive? Would love to bring it home. I haven’t found a perfect one yet. I love summer festivities food stalls and things to buy. And enjoying the weather. Never been to one where they have plants.

I visited on day two. The festival of houseplants was wonderful. Spent most of the day there to be honest. Really enjoyed the talks as well. I came away with an amazing 90cm Euphorbia Ingens Variegata (a wish list plant) from Mint Plants which I totally adore. Looking forward to seeing your plant haul in a few days.

Gymnocalycium turn reddish in strong sunlight just like a lot of epiphytic cacti. I recommend you buy a pack of mixed Gymnocalycium mihanovichii seeds instead. You’ll get more diversity. There are a lot of weird cultivars out there. They are straightforward to grow. You just need to keep them humid for their first couple of months.
