I would like to point out that Kal's fight with Zahel is from KAL'S perspective. So HE didn't hear Zahel give verbal commands, but that doesn't mean he didn't. Zahel is basically hiding this entire time and Kaladin doesn't even know where or which direction he's in. So it's far more likely he gave quiet verbal commands. He's VERY good at Awakening, obviously, so he could easily dart around Awakening different sheets to set traps for Kal, rather than actively attacking him. Like instead of saying "Wrap Kal's arm" he'd be saying "When someone other than me gets close to you grab their arm" or something like that. Things that like would be child's play for Zahel.

10:42 on the warbreaker annotations, brandon mentions that he inteded to actually call the story teller "Dust" and not Hoid. So it makes sense that vasher uses the name dust

On the note of Zahel's speed, Denth is actually described as being supernaturally fast in Oathbringer (one of the thugs he meets with even comments on how he's infamous for it), so I'm guessing it is some sort of Returned thing.

For any new abilities with Breath we aren't used to, we need to remember that awakening is a fairly new art in Warbreaker at least in terms of systematic understanding. They only figured out some pretty vital stuff (such as 1 command lifeless) recently and Vasher is one of the guys who invented half the art. And we know he can use it to do things no one else can in the book. Him finding all the hacks - yes I believe it.

1:00 About the epicanthic folds. I've long had a theory that a full Feruchemist (or someone with the appropriate spikes) can shapeshift by storing a piece of their Identity (in this case, Connection to scadrial), using stored Connection to Connect to a place, object, or person (Roshar) and using gold to heal themselves to match this new Connection. Don't know how well it could work, but I'm hopeful.

13:27 "Does the birth of honorspren coincide with the shattering?" Yeah, Syl herself said she was a sliver of God, so I can't imagine spren existing without adonalsium being shattered. HONOR didn't exist before the shattering, so how could honorspren exist? Also, out of curiosity, where did you pull the number 10,000 years from? Is that a WOB?

Might’ve been a wob. I don’t remember where. But in the most recent reading from Stormlight 5, Hoid explicitly says that he’s 10,000 years old so it’s probably about to be fully canon
