I worked at the ECW Arena in Philadelphia when Brian was with ECW. He was one of the funniest and nicest guys you could hangout with. Crazy as all hell. But a really cool guy. I miss him another great wrestler taken from us way to soon. RIP Brian 🙏.

Pillman in his day and in his prime was one of a kind. When he destroyed his ankle about half his in ring work was eliminated unfortunately. But if he had never got hurt and stayed in his prime him and Benoit would have been one of the best tag teams wrestling ever saw.

Thank you Ric for being a professional the way only the nature boy can, she only carrying feelings because the kiss on raw actually put some passion in the performers character. Anybody needs some clout right now is her, actually stealing the rock bottom on her come back. How does limited talent get u to the big time!? When we fans say u suck, it's literal. Man, I really wish Flyin' Brian could've been something BIGGER. Pillman had all the tools to be a top babyface. If what Jim Cornette said was true, then WCW made a very big mistake. I'd have loved to see Ric Flair vs. Flyin' Brian for the WCW World Title on a big PPV & Flair lose to Brian on his way out before going to WWF in '91. If Brian wasn't gonna be World Champion, then he should've been at least a 2x US Heavyweight Champion & a 2x World TV Champion.

Loved Pillman in the Horsemen. For the life of me though, I'll never understand why they didn't put the Hollywood Blonds in the Horsemen in '93. That would have been a better line-up than Flair and Arn with Paul Roma. Plus there would have been so many opponents for that potential line-up to go against.
@yoholmes2732 жыл бұрын
You know it! Austin makes more sense as Horseman than Pillman in fact. And don't forget That Greg The Hammer was supposed to be a Horseman & it never came to pass either.

Wasn't Flair the head booker of WCW during Pillman's time with the Horsemen? As far as Austin is concerned, at least Steve joined another HOT faction and that's the Dangerous Alliance.
@Toast9602 жыл бұрын
@@kenterminateddq5311 Right. And that was right before the Blonds started tagging. It would have made all the more sense with Austin having a connection to Arn. It never made sense to me to put the Blonds against the Horsemen.

the end of brian in my opinion was a mix the ankle injury and the wwf contract he had signed. basically he had to be back in the ring or vince could cut his pay significantly or completly cut his contract. the contract he signed initially was a good $$ value but was contingent on him being able to perform every day.

I liked Pillman in the Four Horseman but I thought he joined too late. Hindsight being 20/20 go back in time swap Roma out and put Pillman in. Flair, Anderson, Windham and Pillman would have complemented each other very well.

The problem was that WCW, the organization Brian thought he had the best chance of moving up the cards with because they were pushing smaller guys compared to WWF at the time, didn’t see him as a main event guy. The politicking of Hogan, Hall and Nash didn’t help either. The difference between Ric and those 3 is that Ric would put you over if it was right for business and you earned it. He was like Bret Hart in that way. I would have loved to have seen a match with Pillman and Flair for the title at a Starrcade. It could have been a Hart/Austin level match if it were booked correctly. Even in his 50s, Ric could go. And he was never afraid to bump and sell. His match with Sting at the final Nitro is proof of that. If only Brian Pillman had gotten some Phoenix Tears for his pain instead of wild, dangerous narcotics. As a chronic pain sufferer, pain is not for sissies.
