Made this today - absolutely delicious! Couple of observations. 1) The filling takes a long time to cool down. Next time, I will make filling/pastry the day before and assemble/cook next day. 2) Slightly more than half of the pastry is needed for the base, otherwise it gets a bit thin. 3) My pie had reached a glorious colour after 1 hour at the temperature ( 180 ° fan) given in the recipe, so I had to cover it with foil. Keep an eye on it! Really enjoyed the pie, many thanks to you Rich.

Hi, TC. Yank here again. I've followed you from the beginning and wanted to congratulate you on your 50th video. (That is, of course, unless I miscounted.) In any case, interesting content, per usual. Well done.

My mum made this when I was a kid. Not the expensive on though I am sure, just an ordinary one. I have often wondered what the recipe was. I may well try this for after Christmas when we need a change from turkey.

I’m thinking - no matter how much I might rail against it - that tinned corned beef is part of the answer to long term prepping. What a great skill to learn!

No point in uploading recipes if you don't list the ingredients. Plus each ingredient needs to be on one line each, so they are not jumbled up together like a dogs breakfast. If you want to grow your channel an get people to subscribe that's what you need to do.

That slave comment was offensive, and insensitive as well as unnecessary!
@TheTeessideChef2 жыл бұрын
I'm going to assume you're not British. It's satire. The very idea that people eating corned beef pie - a traditional working class food - would have servants or slaves is absurd. Read up about Britain's feudal system, and how many of our ancestors lived in chains before you accuse me of being offensive and insensitive. Conditions for the working classes barely improved during the industrial revolution - hence conditions like 'phossy jaw' and chimney sweep cancer. England's not all green fields and tea and cakes with the Queen you know.
