@@LucoreAuto I used to see this olds around 64-65 every time I went to the ford training center in Cincinnati. First time I drove up in the morning and though that’s cool, but the next two times I had to go up there I’d see it on the interstate. It was kinda rough, but complete looking. Just blew my mind to see someone daily driving it. It was a cool ride though!

I built a 70 GS Stage 1 car ground up for a guy. All Kenny Bell withe guidance from them on the build. And used there Switch Pitch converter , cam heads etc. Also a NOS plate system . Car went 11:20@ 4200# in the 1/4 , with a 4:10 Chevelle 12 bolt I also installed. Had it painted and used a GSX front and rear spoiler and finished it with Auto Drag Centerline wheels .

What, no power ratchet? Also, why didn't you check the correct application for that specific engine? The water pump is shorter because of the Skylark body. 400 and 455 Buick engines are basically the same. Thus 400 and 455 engines use the same water pump other than shaft length according to the car's body.

Make sure when you do the front end you get RID of that stupid old factory 4 turn lock to lock steering box for a 2 turn out of a later 70 to 72 A body car. Makes a HUGE difference. There pretty cheap. ( I got a nice used one out of a 72 Chevelle out of the junkyard for 20 bucks for my 66 Olds 442 what a difference.) BOP all the same.
