Saw GnR last night in Charlotte. Richard, you were so tasteful and deliberate. The only other guitarist I've seen live with such flawless beautiful phrasing was Satch when I saw G3 with him, Vai, and Petrucci. Steve Morse came out as a special guest, and I would easily put you toward the too of that list.

@@joeypowell2255 dude, I was there, too. I was hoping to capture video of him doing a solo. But I got caught up in the moment and missed my chance. I have an awesome memory of it, though. He's very energetic, very talented and a perfect fit for GnR, in my opinion. I expect that people will look back on GnR in ten to twenty years and recall him as a staple of the band.

It's Feb 2021 and I am catching up on your KZbin interviews, podcasts and gear demos. That baritone guitar sounds incredible! I think it's great that you're out there displaying your talent. I really want to go back now and hear your previously released music. I don't know what the future holds for GN'R, but I really hope you are prominently featured. You really were the best addition of all. You play your ass off and make the band Better! Happy New Year sir. Hope to see you on stage soon!

I love Gretsch guitars and i have to say yours is the best looking one period. I havent gotten to play one yet, I'm still hunting. I love your style of playing. There was one part of a guns and roses show where it was like these incredible screaming bends but with the volume somehow or another like backing off as it went up or man I dont know thats what it sounded like I was blown away.

Wow, thanks for this video. I'm glad I took the time. I first heard of Richard Fortus from Love Spit Love. I'm a huge Psych Furs fan so I naturally became interested in LSL. They did an appearance and signing at Tower Records in Hollywood to promote their first album so I went. I got there kind of late and missed the performance but got in line to have some stuff signed. Richard (Fortus) saw the old Furs t-shirt I was wearing and told me how cool it was, that he remembered it from 1986. He was very nice. Then I saw him a few more times when he was again playing for The Psychedelic Furs in the 2000s. Glad his career took off. He's the epitome of a rocker.

Richard is one of those musicians you hear and see for the first time and know you are seeing one that is above most. Springfield MO back in the late 80's early 90's I saw him with Pale Divine and you knew then he was destined to be big in the industry.

Yeah, I saw them twice in Portland, Oregon supporting their two releases. Amazing band and Richard’s playing was like no other. It’s a shame that that band didn’t make more records. It was a great combination of people. I still listen to those two albums and it’s always a brilliant experience.

This was a cool Video. I'm a fan of Guns since elementary school. I'm 44 now. So long time Slash fan. But to be honest I love hearing Richard play and share the stage. I hope to hear a lot more from him. In a world of a gazillion guitar player he really stands out, but also He fits Guns so well. He slides right in there. At this point we've all heard a million rock guitarists but 4Tus has a great sounds that to me sounds fresh.

It's not common to see a trajectory together like this, I hope to see more. And while an amazing player, he seems to have also gotten where he got from being a nice person - guy gives everyone his best attitude and talent, enjoy your good fortune and hard work Richard Fortus. I went to high school with BT who was equally a great person and musician, so wonderful to see you guys have success.

@idzardmorais77293 жыл бұрын
Where is Izzy? In my opinion Izzy was there in that time . Now doesn’t make sense. I have been following GNR since 90 and the first time I saw Richard in GNR really touched me unique tune with GNR: feeling, deep, atitude, energy… and I believe is because that is still in GNR ! He is in right place and I would say that the band on stage without Richard doesn’t sound the same! Of course this is only my opinion

@@TheMatlacks Nah, I personally could care less about him..The consummate hired gun, though..There really is no character or creativity in guitarists past say, 2005, including songwriting..It's just flat..1990-2000 was the last bastion of real creativity, real players..It's all saturated with KZbin players selling gear and teaching old licks..
