I need this explained to me. I've driven a 125cc and then 250cc scooter, but I have a deep love for motorcycles in general. 250cc is an especially good size in my opinion. With a top speed exceeding 80 mph, they have have enough power for touring while still getting about 60 to 70 miles to the gallon. I've fit two weeks of camping supplies and equipment on mine. And it's comfortable enough to ride all day. That to me means freedom.

It was just Gere pretending to be a 'bad-ass'...whatever the hell that's supposed to be. He's ridden a 'Bonneville' frequently in movies...and yes, it's an Iconic machine...a two-wheeled 'work ofEnglish Art' in form and function.That said...it doesn't take away from everything else! (I love the BMW R-65 myself...those horizontal cylinders are just 'too cool for school' in my book and the bike itself is almost indestructible!) The same thing is true of Honda...properly cared-for, a Honda bike will last a lifetime. Nothing wrong w/Yamaha or Suzuki either...they build some damn fine machines! I agree...a 250 to 350cc is a perfect blend of performance and 'use-ability' without weighing like a baby hippo!
