Thank you, Jimmy Webb, for letting Richard do your songs. He had a great voice, and you sure knew what you were doing. Also, thank you for signing my tramp shining album at the meet and greet.

I ABSOLUTELY ADORED HIM!! I played (the vinyl version) of "A Tramp Shining" back in 1968 over and over, especially "MacArthur Park". You couldn't go anywhere without hearing his wonderful voice. What great memories, as an actor and a singer. RIP, Richard..you were one of a kind. 🙏🏻❤️🌹

I fell in love with him when I saw CAMELOT. I loved him ever since. When older movies of his were on TV I got to build my ‘films of Richard’ viewing experience. He used to be on the MIKE DOUGLAS SHOW often. He was a funny, personable Irishman that told the best stories. I loved his singing and had all his albums. In the 80s he toured in a production of CAMELOT. I saw him on stage as Arthur twice. A dream come true!

Always was in love with this guy, no idea why. He was just the most sensitive King Arthur, in Camelot.I can’t define exactly what made him so astonishingly attractive; I think it’s about imperfections somehow? And that voice, that accent…

Of Harris we all have in mind 'A man called horse', since he was an excellent actor, but also a great singer and a better pleasure seeker. The song was included in his first studio album 'A tramp shining', from that same year, 1968. A delight to let yourself be caressed by that velvety voice... Let's enjoy it!

I agree. I just watched an interview in which he said "MacArthur Park" was the "B" side of this single and a DJ in San Fran played it (MacArther Park) on a whim. Good thing. I can't imagine this song was considered a hit. MacArthur Park is haunting. Still love it this many decades later.
