You don't expect such an imposing man to be witty and funny. Both Letterman and the audience were too much in awe of him to even notice most of his jokes, which were brilliant! I almost barfed when he put his hand on Letterman and you could the blood leaving Letterman's face.

I was a Bellman on the Las Vegas Strip 20 years ago, I met many celebrities, But Richard was the most Star Struck moment, As a huge James Bond fan I couldn’t believe I was face to face with Jaws. He tipped me $20, nice guy. And let me tell you he was Huge in person.

He sent me a short letter in 90 or 91 with his picture when I was a soldier taking part in operation Desert Storm over in the Persian gulf. Lived next door to my Aunt in CA I guess and she asked him to. Don't know how I got to this video, it was just there so I clicked on it.

He was in the original "Longest Yard," Jaws in two James Bond movies, played all the aliens featured in the classic T. Zone episode "To Serve Man", and he was both the Diablero and Per Malfait in "Kolchak: The Night Stalker." Quite a memorable career.
