At first I thought it was weird that the audience wasn't laughing as much, but then I realized that THIS is how a normal conversation is supposed to look like. People shouldn't be laughing like idiots at every single sentence and even Jimmy didn't do his fake laugh here, it's just a real conversation. We're so conditioned to hearing fake laughter it's kind of creepy to be honest.

This is not a "normal conversation," though. This is a completely different setting/context, and the context of the conversation is that it is held in public, in front of an audience (both in the studio and at home), and is supposed to be entertaining. That is why almost every interview contains a "funny story" related to the guest. No laughter is meant for serious topics, but laughter is expected, wanted, and the main goal when they are being humorous - which they were being here. Thus the lack of laughter here makes this an extremely uncomfortable watch, because they were clearly looking for a reaction, but got very little of it. Which made them both nervous - and awkward. So, although I understand what you meant by the "creepy that we're conditioned to hearing fake laughter" comment, I wouldn't exactly go as far as to say that this, in and of itself, is very "Black Mirror-esque". Albeit one could (easily) argue that some parts of the entertainment industry certainly are, but I wouldn't count this as one of them.

English from New Zealand, Australia and Britain is too soft for us, too much of that "WOW, OW, AOW ..." in the pronunciation of the words, you avoid the letters T and R and it sounds to us like you have a lot of candy in your mouth while talking 🤣🤣🤣 i have a sister in sydney so i know very well.

He's death on GOT was because the boltons and freys are opportunists, you dont see any of the other bannerman of the north thinking that their king is nearly loosing , let me kill him, just the boltons thought that .
