The biggest display of courage and guts by a musical performer I have ever seen. Richard, I salute you.

I am so sorry that you and all other Chileans had to suffer through this. You need not feel embarrassed by the things that you had to go through. Everyone understands that it was not by choice. I sincerely hope that things are better now in your country. Peace.

Richard Page reminds me of the dutch actor Rutger Hauer (Blade runner, the Hitcher) both very attractive 80s men, raw, human, real, and proper MEN, not boys, that's why I prefer 80s men. They were men, not afraid to just be themselves.

The sycophants in the Pinochet government told Chileans the next day that Richard had said "awful things about Chile" and since most didn't speak English, they believed it. Chileans didn't find out the truth until many years later when the Pinochet government fell and the free press debunked the story. For that alone, I'd love to see Mister Mister play in Vina del Mar again.

Gracias Richard Page por la valentía que tuviste al saludar a los artistas chilenos amenazados de muerte por el Régimen derechista fascista de Pinochet.

I am a Chilean by birth but American by choice. And all those who are talking crap about USA helping and supporting Pinochet, they need to shut up about it.

Skyler Reddy I'm chilean from birth and still hangin' out here XD hehe. You know the saddest thing is people still greatly supports those people and their government. Chileans outside tend to get the full picture of the abuses and corruption around here

Personally I consider Richard shouldn't have said those words even he was absolutely right on them.As he said in the interview people had no voice and no opinion during 80's Chilean dictatorship and he took a huge risk. I feel so embarrased about what happened in Chile from 1973 to 1990 because this is part of bloody Chilean history and we can't live it again, not anymore!

So you mean better continue to be oppressed and shut up?? Shame
