I was 10 years old when I first saw this. Was and still is one of my absolute favorite movies. The two of them together were perfect.

I've never actually watched this film all the way through, although I remember when it first came out. Of course it's a brilliant concept. I've seen other excellent films of theirs together. But watching this, it strikes me just how subtle the comedy is. Most other films would exaggerate the gags much more, but everything here is so well done. Gene when he's signing for the package and Richard carries on talking to him, it's so smooth withouth any unnecessary labouring of the gag. And Gene arriving at the bar, with Richard calling to the deaf guy, and Gene waving at the blind guy. So subtle, but pure genius.

Hello from Bangalore, India. I saw this while in college, sometime in 1988 or 89.... thereabouts. We, a group of girls, bunked office to see this gem of a movie. I still remember how we laughed and laughed...and the scene where the lady photographer goes out saying " shit, shit.." which Dave reads as "ship, ship...." Class act comedy. Believe me since then I have not been able to watch this on any medium . Suddenly I see this clip here on youtube today. Awww, I can't tell how happy I feel. I wish I could watch this movie all over again. Thanks for posting.
