Richard tours England's Largest County, Yorkshire; seeking out tales of the supernatural and reports of ghostly experiences and haunting’s.
The length and the breadth of the county is covered in this video, telling stories to raise the hairs on the neck of the most brazen of Yorkshire Men & Women.
As the local sites of haunting’s and strange unexplainable occurrences are revealed, many people throughout the whole of Yorkshire will not feel at ease alone in this great county, which is the most haunted in the North of England.
Included is the most famous ghost story in the world, which is told by Mr. Ray Alexandra, from the Original Ghost Walk of York

When I visited Yorkshire, I went to see a Roman wall. I heard and saw Romans also. It was weird; there were a lot of sheep grazing near by.

In 1998 I bought my first house in York. It just so happened to be sold to me by one of the people who witnessed the Roman legion marching through the basement of the Treasurer's House. A very famous ghost story and the person who told me about it was very reluctant because he rarely told anyone. It was only because his wife knew of my interest in the paranormal. Contrary to popular belief there were 3 people in the basement who saw the soldiers that day but only one of them made it into a well known story. The other two were too scared to mention it at first, even to themselves!

Hello. That is very interesting. I live in Nashville, and here it seems people are only too glad to tell anything about ghost stories; I can't imagine someone being reluctant. Perhaps that makes it much more believable. You truly believe "they" are out there? Is it all energy? I lost my beloved, noble Austrian husband (wasn't legal when we got together, but we had a ceremony) 10 years ago. I'm an atheist, and I've been tortured all this time trying so hard to believe he is out there and with me. I am such a skeptic that it is difficult for me to believe ANYTHING! Ha! Can you help me at all? Thanks so much!

Hi there in Nashville, I'm sorry to hear you've lost your beloved husband and I wish you had the comfort of knowing that he is out there and will be waiting for you. The reason the man I know and his colleague were so reluctant to tell anyone about what happened and what they truly saw is because they were both very young apprentices at the time and didn't think anyone would believe them. They also thought that their friends would laugh at them. Even today not everyone believes so I can understand why they stayed quiet. It might help you if you visited your local Spiritualist Church. I hope you find peace. @@josephcollins6033

I agree with him. No one truly understands how; but, I'm convinced that the stones around us can absorb our electrical energy. Jesus said, "If man fails to praise God, even the rocks will cry out". That one sentenced has fascinated me for decades. Somehow, some way, the very rocks and stones are absorbing our electrical energy.

In two of my visits to Marston Moor, I heard loud, deep booming sounds which I thought must be coming from the nearby industrial estate. On mentioning it to my husband, I discovered that he hadn’t heard any such sounds. I then realised that it must have been the sounds of cannon fire.

This is very good Richard, glad you are still making these wonderful videos. A couple things, the audio has some issues: music bed is potted up too high with the gent at the church. It's competing with the speaker who a great storyteller. And the audio is quieter with the gent in blue at 15:07, while yours is hotter. I hope you can find a way to find the balance as the stories are amazing. Love your knowledge and story weaving Richard. Always enthralling!

Some spirits are sort of an environmental recordings, but others are interactive and those are lost souls, then there are poltergeists and there are at least two theories on what they. They are either a angry spirits with unfinished business, or because they most often appear in places with the very old the very young or teenagers it may be accidental bursts of telekinetic energy.

Ray Alexander, who tells the story of the Roman ghosts in the basement, has produced a written account which is riddled with inaccuracies, and the story he provides here about the Roman road not being uncovered until after the sighting is completely untrue. He made it up in order to make the story sound more exciting. The Roman road was uncovered BEFORE the sighting, and the witness, Harry Martindale, explained that his ladder was resting on the excavated foundation of the Roman road (the top layer of the road having been removed by the archaeologists) when the incident happened. Facts matter.

Now I trust everyone is paying attention. If it's nasty wet and raining/snow or just cold it's Imperative that you wear a full length duster when you're ghost hunting. If the weather is nice then you may opt out of the coat and wear a vest so long as it has lots of pockets and rings and clips on it. A standard fishing or camera vest is preferred by most.
