OH, YEAH!!!! You inked Steampunk and that's where I fell in love with your inks! DUH! God, that's gorgeous. Bachalo is from another planet. It would NOT be easy to ink that stuff. Very very well done.

What a fun super fun Sunday! Digging in now, one of my favorite ever comics. I wish you guys would reunite and find some more stories to tell in the world of Steampunk.

Just absolutely GLORIOUS work. That wonderful chunky ink that I still try to riff off on my own work. I had an original page from issue six that I unfortunately lost in a basement flooding years ago. You were kind enough to respond to some questions I had a bunch of years ago. Loving these Fun Sunday vids, esp the Bisley one which I need to go back to ;)

This was GREAT work, Rich! I can see how it would be a kick to be involved in such a major project.

Always have been a big fan of Bachalo's work. From what I recall, this is his only creator-owned book which is surprising to me given his is an amazing and popular artist. I was also a fan of the Cliffhanger imprint. Was disappointed how it fizzled out by lack of creator output of the big guns like Joe and J. Scott.

I remember reading this and every few pages I would just stop and stare at a layout until I forgot the plot and had to go back to the beginning again. Had to have happened half a dozens times an issue for the layout or letters or inks. Love this book so much.

I missed that book when it came out. The art definitely is cool. I think about midway through the colors look good, at least they are not all muddy like so much of the computer colored books. One my college interns working with me is an A7X fan, he was like your old and probably don't know who that is, I started laughing when he told me that, I told him I did, and that since he is young, he probably had no idea who Sevendust was, one of my favorite bands.

I miss books like this too... Very very fond memories. I recall I had a letter published in one of the issues and Chris personally sent me some signed copies. Unfortunately I lost them in the move to Japan :(

I too have bought quite a few books over the course of the Super Fun Sundays. I was just looking at the "Drowntown" and the Batman/Demon book, both by Jim Murray. Fantastic stuff that would have slipped by the 'ole radar had I not been following this channel, great stuff!

allgoldproductions drowntown book one is great. All these books are. My favorite may be Koji Morimoto’s Orange scrapbook. Endless inspiration. Between that and art of hellboy...awesome stuff

Hi Rich! I seriously love how you inked this. How did you manage to get that beautiful white outline around the figures? I'm trying my best to get better at inking. My style is still kinda like a coloring book look.

Very cool style! I think i would dig it more without the colour. That inks only page you showed in the intro was dope! Gonzo voice "super fun!" Did you know Artsy Bear crowd funded his own comic recently, he's got an active youtube channel about it.

This is my first exposure to Chris's work. He reminds me of Joe Mad quite a bit. I love his artwork and overall design, but I notice that he uses the same over the shoulder headshot pose, usually in a small single character panel, waaaaay to often. Sometimes multiple panels in a row. That's literally the only critism that I have. Other than that, great stuff.

Hey Rich, just wanted to ask if you have seen CB Cebulski's tweet about the industry (especially Marvel) needing more inkers, and if so, what's your take on it? Seems to me for the last few years the big two have been hiring new talent either directly from social media or the indies. Independent publishers pay so little that you couldn't get a good inker even if you wanted to, so you're basically forced to pencil and ink your own stuff at a crazy pace to make it work financially. By the time you're "good enough" for prime time you either don't need an inker or you rely so heavily on your inks that nobody except you could ink your pencils. And digital, for better or worse, blurs the line between pencils and inks anyway. So that's how I'd explain the lack of new inkers, but I noticed that a lot of the "superstar inkers" like Williams, Glapion, Hope, Mikki and you have been mostly working for DC it seems. If you'd rather not comment on it, I totally understand, but I've been wondering. Big fan of your work and happy that you're finally doing your own thing with Blasterkid as well!

If I EVER saw a Kickstarter for Steampunk I would take a second job to pay you guys. I want it as bad now as I did 16 or 17 years ago. Just a-tossing' that out there.

I would pay a really stupid amount of money to read the final act. Just saying. If it is to be done I will come back to comics and spend like an imbecile for it. You three (Bachalo, Kelly, and yourself) are my trifecta.

In Chris bachalo's early works, he use to put a little circles on the noses of his character. Do you know why he stop doing this? Just curious.
