Do you know why I had an awesome Crappie fry tonight? Because Richard Gene taught me how to catch 'em! Thanks neighbor, we love you!

2 years ago I caught 2 trophy white crappie out of a resevoir out of town. I no longer go because someone I use to interact with I no longer do for personal reasons. It's stated there's black crappie in the river I fish here up north. I used a small bobber with a 7 inch leader size 2 owner american baitholder hook 18 inch leader. Plus I've used 1/8 inch crappie jig with a white grub worm and have caught nice smallies with procure trophy bass. I throw crappie jigs let it fall 3 seconds moderate retrieve raise rod tip slightly let it fall again 3 seconds. I use a moderate retrieve 3 to 5 seconds then subtly raise rod tip then let jig fall. It works every time. 🙂

My tip: Go brim fish as soon as you catch one cut it up and bait it will have a hit in about 10 minutes probably (It's agianst the law tho so don't let the fish cops see there counted as a sport fish not bait)
@brianlykins66632 жыл бұрын
Thank you Richard for taking us along with you on another great trip. Your tip on baitcasting reel , if well known, could have probably saved a lot of folks from losing rigs. I've seen a couple rigs jerked out of a boat as well as slipping off the bank. Man I love your videos and your scriptures in the discription section. God bless you and your family and keep up the great work. May fair days, calm water and tight lines follow you wherever you go.

I have a great video idea in my opinion. You need to have an interview with Elmo. You be the host of the interview. That way we can all get to know Elmo more since we don’t see him all that much.😉. I love you videos!You have mentioned several different thoughts and ideas that I have thought too about certain conditions and fish behavior that I have come to believe through years of fishing. By hearing you speak what I haven’t knew to be facts just thought it made sense,really confirmed them to be true to me. Thanks for all of the info you share!

I've found even in colorado where a 30lb cat is a monster I like a 7/0 circle hook. Catch lil 1.5lb cats no problem on em. When I used a 5/0 I would sometimes have a hook pull on larger 20lb plus fish.
