Richard Gene!!! I Love your videos! I lost my first born son a couple of years ago and we loved to fish together! I haven't had the desire to fish since. You and your video's alone have set me back on fire for fishing and through that my heart and spirit are healing! I know that may be a lot to have on you but "hey", please just keep doing what you do. And, "they ain't but one thing to do!!! Let's catch another one!!!!

See how gentle the man is with the fish? The fish and man are old friends. He comes out, catches the fish, let's him go, catches him again etc etc. Fish gets good meal and man gets good day of fishing. See ya next weekend old friend.

Mr. Gene you deserve to have alot of subscribers. Because your a great fisherman and your passion shows it. You have a very entertaining and helpful channel. One of the best channels on KZbin. I've been watching you for years now. And I'm pretty much the same way. I also believe that fishing is the greatest sport/hobby a person could have. It's a thrill that's second to none. The whole experience of being on the water and hunting for and trying to find them and figure them out to catch and land them. Is so awesome! Keep up the great work you do for us all. And thanks for the tips on crappie fishing. I've only started fishing for crappie 5-years ago. When I moved to the country in Mississippi.🙂

Iv'e been to Gadsden AL. many times because my wife is from there. Her mother lived there until she passed away, and I think I have only been back once since then. I did take note of all the great looking fishing areas when we drove down there from Tennessee. The creeks we crossed always caught my attention, because I just love creek fishing. I might get the notion to drive down some day and explore some of the creeks in northern Alabama. Lord knows I have fished bunch of creeks and rivers in my neck of the woods.

Hi Mr. Richard, my boys and I have been watching your KZbin channel for a while and it's inspired us to go fishing today. They're 4 and 5 years old and we dug up worms until we had enough to go fishing. We live in the city but we are fortunate enough to have a great city park with lots of lagoons and we caught a real nice (big 'un) bluegill and a real chunky little largemouth. Love to watch your videos when we can't go fishing and want to thank you and wish you tight lines!

@@cardsfighter2 When you fish as much as he does or I do we catch way more than we can eat. This is my busy time of the year but starting in January I will fish 2-4 times a week. I currently have about 40 bags of crappie in the deep freeze. I am heading out in a few hours to fish again. I do not need to keep them so they are going back. Let them live and spawn.
@henrymeyergarvey19475 жыл бұрын
@@cardsfighter2 because usually the older fisherman are the people who grew up catching and keeping the fish and the newer generation of fisherman are more catch and release.

Richard Gene, Patrick BEATY here From Nashville Tennessee, I’m 28 years old and I’m a certified welder!! Part time job is the outdoors lol!!!!!!I’ve been watching your channel and videos on KZbin for quite some while and just now figured out how to subscribe LOL. I’ve never subscribed to anyone channel always just watch them but for some reason I just really like you and your videos And I think you’re a heck of a guy! Heck I take that back, I love ya and you crack me up and I’ve also learned A lot from you. I’ve been fishing all my life Mainly i target bass but here lately I’ve been trying to catch Crappie because of you ha ha and I can’t seem to catch them like you can LOL. I’m here at the lake now as a matter of fact and we just now got a little bit of a cold front and I just watched your video on how to tie a loop knot.. that is unreal how it keeps that Jig at a 90° angle!! But anyways to sum all this up I just wanted to let you know that I really enjoy watching your show and I wish I had someone Like you to go fishing with because I know if I enjoy watching your shows as much as I do then I would love fishing with you!!! Im spoiled rotten. I grew up in Frankville, Alabama. Off the Tombigbee River. My Grandpa, and Dad used to take me to Millers Ferry, Claiborne Lock and Dam to catch skipjack. We would jug or fish off of custom made trot lines my Grandpa made. Now 20 years later I was given a Jon boat. I fabbed up an aluminum fishing rack for the back and have been putting around Montgomery, Wetumpka. Damn I've got a lot of learn. Caught my first cat yesterday at about 2:30pm on some cut drum. I am having trouble finding skip jack in my area, and shad. I tried using Bluegill, but only rclecently learned I could fillet them, and to not burry the hook so deep in the bait. Dang it is humbling

Not that you don't deserve a nice piece of equipment like that but, I've gotten the impression that you are more budget minded. I especially like your older stuff.
