Richard,i live down here in Texas I am 1 hour from Sam Rayburn lake, and about the same from Toledo bend. Both are great crappie lakes but i never caught many and considered myself a good fisherman, mainly bass. But the older i got i enjoy crappie fishing a little more. Not so fast paced and i can take my time and enjoy fishing again. Now to the point,i stumbled on to your videos and after about 3 good videos i found out why.I was fishing way to fast and using too big of line and too heavy of jig heads.I proved this to myself,by going to Toledo Bend last week with new light tackle and jigs and baits you recommended on your show.My catch ratio over double in same spot i have fished before and size went up also.I am a lite line man now and i have you to thank! I am 66 years old and should have figured this out long ago but was too busy chasing bass.Gene i will retire soon and plan on doing a lot of crappie fishing and enjoying life. Thanks again for great videos that are enjoyable and also instructive if you listen to Mr. Gene! Keep up the great job and please go forward with more videos as long as you can,i will watch every one!

RICHARD GENE we gotta get that light in front of you so that you're not silhouetted and we can see your captivating eyes and charming smile!! I'm not a fan of new muddy water when drifting for catfish. I don't mind anchoring in it, when there is current, but dragging baits is TOUGH! If I can ever commit any time to at least trying to catch 'em like you do I might actually get addicted to crappie fishing. Great show!
