I am a little embarrassed that it has taken me so long to get around to checking out your channel, and I have to say, no pun intended, I am hooked! I am becoming a bigger fan with every video. Really appreciate the fishing savvy, your candor and your theatrical presence! I think I used all my "dollar" words in the last sentence. Keep the content and information coming Richard, I am going to go fishing because it is "guud fer me!"

Hello Richard! My first time watching you and as a fellow Alabamian, you made me chuckle at your personality and down-home phrases. Like talking to the fish, "quit quit quit. That is a beautiful creek. I live in Gardendale and was wondering where that was filmed. We have a beautiful state and I really enjoyed your video. Now subscribed, liked, and rung the bell. God bless.

Richard, this is one of the most fun videos you've posted! It's an adventure kids would really enjoy as they would be learning to watch where they're walking, learning to observe other wildlife, and learning about fishing, too. And thanks for the tip about bending up the barb of the hook on a jig. It really helps hooking more bites.

Love the videos. It's really helped to reignite my fishing game..I got my personal best 8.6lb largemouth on a shallow diving 3" shad rapala during a thunderstorm at 6:30pm today. I spent the whole day fishing on the lake without catching squat, then came home and snagged a toad. Cheers, and best wishes.

Love the creek videos as much as the catfish videos. I took a lesson from your play book and caught me some minners and in the past couple of days I have caught over one hundred small mouth out of the river. I have to put them on a 1/4 ounce jighead cause of the current but it sure is fun. I'll give you a tip from my play book I use a 1/16 ounce jighead and a two or three inch yum curl tail grub in all white it works is clear water to

I notice you wear long sleeve shirts in hot weather sometimes. If you don't mind, would you explain why and the types of fabrics work best for you. I really enjoy your videos and have the South River (Autryville, NC) in my backyard. I used to fish back there alot with my grandsons (until they found out that catching girlfriends was more fun!). My wife won't let me go fishing back there alone anymore because I've fallen in the river so many times 😂. It's swampy and that black tea color water with many downed trees due to the many storms we have. There's all different kinds of fish species in this place and your videos are making me really want to get back there again. This 69 yr old man ain't ready to give it up yet! If you're ever inclined, you're welcome to come over for some fishing. It's beautiful back there an I keep a golf cart trail to it. We have caught 3ft long needle nose gar and I've seen bigger ones in there. One time while gar fishing in shallow water, I caught a big bluegill and cut the head off and put it on a big ocean rig and dropped it straight down in a hole about 12 feet deep. While we were casting for gar in shallow water, we suddenly felt our paddle boat moving! I looked and that big rig was fully bent over and the boat was being pulled upriver against the current. As soon as I grabbed the rod and put pressure on it, whatever was on it was having nothing to do with me. It took off ripping drag off for a few seconds and then poured the coal on and the 30lb test snapped! I sure wish I knew what kind of fish that was but the excitement was good enough at the time. If you are interested, I'll send you my contact information and we'll set it up! Thank you so much for what you do!

Richard I love all of your videos, I saved them all. I'm an avid creek fisherman too but how often do you see snakes? I see them all the time wading and I'm wondering if water snakes and moccasins will bite under water and if so will you teach some safety tip when out there alone or even just that as a topic video. Not sure if you see this but I hope so.
