Love that Nanofil. Best thing about Nanofil: No twist. If you have trouble with wind knots or bird nests when you cast, this will help A lot. It casts better than mono and no twist. Worst thing about Nanofil: Knot slippage. Lost many a lure and some fish until learning to the proper knot. A double palomar or Nanofil knot works best. Pull tight slowly... Love your videos Richard. Look forward to them everyday. Reminds me of watching the Bill Dance show when I was a kid. Keep um coming.

Hello Richard my name is Richard too. I just watched your latest catfish video. Great video Richard. I've learned from your fishing trips and thought to give an idea back. Perhaps you may want to use a 3 way swivel with about 18 inches of 8lb line going to a homemade concrete weight the size of a plum using a non fishing regular knot. . The concrete weight should have a metal wire in it (shaped similar to a Christmas tree ball wire) set in it before your concrete weights dry. Let your weights dry a few days at least before use. The other loop on your swivel will be your bait line at about 12 inches. Your weight will get hung in the rocks and you just break off your .07 cent weight and retrieve your bait and swivel that is if one don't take your big bait. Great inexpensive way to get at the big uns.

Mr. Richard Gene do you ever eat bass? I eat a few when the water is cold and found they taste just as good as crappie and bluegill. My local lake has hybrid striper, pike, walleye, yellow perch, channel catfish and Musky. In addition, a few other kinds of catfish that look too ugly for me to eat along with carp. Pennsylvania has hundreds trout streams and a few trout end up on my table once in a while too. The point is, I try to even out the kinds of fish I eat so not to pick on one any more than the other. What do think about that idea?
