I've always wondered if a single small-mid size turbo feed into a huge turbo would be beneficial versus twins or a single , maybe you'd get huge boost and no lag

So we put a 600hp turbo on the car and it made 600hp...then we put a 900hp turbo and it made 900hp...astounding!...lol

I always manage to take my break from engine building when you just finish streaming. 402 is basically ready to go into the truck and be broken in now Also at what boost level does the added heat causes diminishing returns in power

Ok i always have this one thought about twin turbos i just cant shake off and i always think about. You always basically have to turbos blowing at each other and turning off towards the mutual intake. So i just always wondered is it possible the turbos blowing against each other possibly stealing some power?cause they're constantly pushing at each other and more can only take in so much velocity

the air from 1 turbo is never blower into the other turbo-there is just two of them doing what 1 of them does-providing air into the intake

Eric's camshaft challenge has little wiggle room ... 408 ls engine 4000 to 7000 rpm ... Only change allowed is camshaft ... It's already making 682 HP at 6600 rpm or 1.67 per cubic inch and 584 ft lbs at 5400 rpm or 1.43 ft lbs per cubic inch .... Camshaft in it now is Texas speed stage 2 which is 229/244 installed on 109 lobe center ... A bigger camshaft at 243/246 on 108 lobe center only made 4 more HP and lost torque .... I'm pretty sure the 1000 cfm carb on the engine is at its limit and he will not change timing and camshaft has to go in dot to dot ...... With more carb or more rpm there is room for more HP but I really think that under what is the rules it's going to be one or two HP here and there with every camshaft run or a lot less then it makes now .... Just not a lot left in the testing range

@@boost1728 sorry head flow always matters no matter what the camshaft duration .... Camshaft is just a percentage of available flow no matter what that flow is ..... The limit on Eric's engine i really think is the carb size ... In that case bigger camshaft or bigger head flow will not help ....

@@scotthatch4548 again, head flow doesn’t really matter when it isn’t the limiting factor. In fact too big of heads for a combination can actually hurt power rather than help. A small cam mild motor does not need huge high-flow heads, period. A 408 with a small 229 cam even at 7,000 RPM is only flowing around 850 CFM. His limiter is almost certainly cam size and intake/exhaust combination, NOT head or carburetor flow ability. But let’s cut to the chase- I bet my left leg it isn’t making 682 on a 229 cam without some sort of magic (500 feet below sea level, oxygenated fuel etc)
