@ it would be bandwagoning if I switched teams. When your team is no longer in the playoffs, or miss them altogether, wanting another squad to win isn’t bandwagoning. I like Dan Campbell as a coach. He’s old school football. The Lions are building a solid organization. My hierarchy of support in the playoffs is Niners -> Raiders -> NFC-> AFC-> KC-> Dallas. So if the Super Bowl is Cowboys vs. Chiefs I’ll be supporting Reid and that QB he’s got.

As a Niners fan, I don’t really care that much about draft position, and I trust that our team will play hard, but they are so decimated by injuries right now, especially on the OL, I just don’t want to see them lose key players with major injuries. I want them to win out if they can but I am not sure they have the personnel to do it at this stage.

It’s because playoffs are just bonus money. Their yearly salary is all paid out during the regular season only. They get like 40-50k from the league for the regular playoffs, and over 100k for the SB, and any bonuses that are in their contract with the team. I wonder why it was collectively bargained that way. There must be a reason.

The MVP award does more for the NFL as a business than it does for any player. Awards are ALWAYS about who is giving the award and to a very lesser extent the recipient. If players let it matter, they are being distracted from the bigger picture. Cult of personality is a detriment to any team sport and only panders to and for the lowest common denominator. ✌️

For draft picks they should get the 6 worst teams and then 1st pick is the team that scored the most points in the season. That way teams can tank without having to go scoreless for 3 games straight

I understand when a team is 1 of the few worst teams and needs a qb so you tank for your guy that 1 time, but beyond that there is great talent from top to bottom of every round good gms know how to find it and develop it so until a team gets that part down tanking doesnt matter, losing for a better pick wont work regardless if your front office cant find good talent in later rounds regardless of how esrly or late your picking

Coaches don't coach to lose, straight up. As a fan, it frustrates me to lose position in the draft due to a weird win, but athletes and coaches are playing to win because that's who the are and what they do. I get it.

You’re forgetting about the 8 fumbles Lamar has this year and the 4 that he lost. Allen has 1 and it was recovered. Lamar is surrounded by talent and doesn’t seem to elevate talent. He’s had receivers leave and they look the same if not better. The Bills got rid of Diggs and got BETTER. Nobody in the NFL is taking Lamar Jackson over Josh Allen at starting QB. Lamar is highly inaccurate down the field and his best plays aren’t in a playbook. If the Ravens had the record that the Bills do, I would say it’s close but the Ravens are being carried by Henry, that o-line and an incredible defense.

Here is REALITY with Tanking. The PLAYERS say they want to win no matter what. GOOD for that player who has ZERO vested interest in the organization. That's called a PERSON who could careless what happens. IF they loved the team on which they play (how could they when they refuse to think or do what is best for the team - which includes TANKING), they will make sure they don't win. ANY PLAYER who doesn't - is not planning to hang around. They will go to a team that does win - it's that simple. FACT: NO TEAM with a TEMP 1 year rental (bridge) QB ever goes anywhere (NEVER). They have that 3-8 win season - YEAR AFTER YEAR AFTER YEAR! That NEVER ENDS! FANS know this - so how do players not have a clue?! CULTURE - those teams without QBs who refuse to tank (THANK THE NFL BY THE WAY - FOR CREATING A SITUATION TEAMS HAVE TO TANK TO HAVE A SHOT AT THE TOP PICK) - lose what winning culture they HAVE (the hardest thing to do in pro sports is turn a bad culture around). NO PLAYERS looking to win are going to go to ANY of those perennial losing teams with BRIDGE QBs. They MIGHT go for a few years but ONLY for the MONEY. These players don't bust ass unless they are looking to land a contract somewhere else (i.e the contract years). RAIDERS just shot themselves in the foot. When they moved to Vegas - they caught a break! that move created a culture change! BUT that change is ONLY temporary if you do NOT land a QB (not a bridge QB - a REAL QB). OWNING THAT TOP SPOT IN THE DRAFT gives you a significantly better chance of landing a franchise QB! DRAFTING a round 3 QB - is almost the same as tossing your pick in the toilet. RESULTS of RAIDERS win (dropping from 1st pick in draft to 6th). * No QB (unless it's the typical epic reach the raiders do). * Anyone on that team with any kind of talent - is going to leave. MAXX will leave. Bowers will at some point make clear he's not sticking around and leave. * No player in the NFL is going to play for a LOSING team - which is what the Raiders are. The RAIDERS will have to WAY over pay for mediocre talent just to get someone to play there (yes - this is what the RAIDERS have done for years). * RAIDERS join (full time) all those teams who picks up a QB in the FA market and tell fans it's a temp - bridge QB (but really - that's that teams future for the next 15 years - every year landing a bridge QB). NO PLAYER who says they want to win no matter what - goes all out in meaningless games KNOWING that the future of that team for which they play is on the line if they win. I call those IDIOTS! When they open their mouths and say how bad they wanted to win - i dust off the dunce cap and mail it to them. RAIDERS will NOT win more than 5 games next year (as i said they wouldn't this year). Raiders will NOT win a single AFC west game. RAIDERS will be RAIDERS and ARE NOW the losing RAIDERS they have always been! FANS won't suffer as they have in the past. Game tickets are TOO F'ING EXPENSIVE! They will simply tune out all of it and do other things that upset them. WHO wants to be emotionally invested in a dysfunctional pro sport team with ZERO chance of winning anything?! RAIDERS LOSING that top pick by going all out and winning that game - ensured they will one of the worst teams in the NFL for many years to come. HERE is how Raiders do things (especially with the worst coaching staff and GM in the NFL). They will trade the farm to move up and land a QB (when they COULD have just lost, drafted the QB of their choice, and USE all those draft picks to build a better team) - only to make the wrong pick and own the top pick the following year! the pick that would have netted them Arch Manning - but they traded that away. THIS IS THE RAIDER WAY! RAIDERS EXAPLE above - is just ONE example of what winning a meaningless game can do to your organization. Raiders will suck for many years to come (regardless of Tom Brady being there). NYG TANKED all their games and did EVERYTHING they could to land a top pick in the draft! THEY KNOW the importance of getting a TOP QB! RAIDERS - do not. FANS didn't show up to cheer on the Raiders last sunday. They showed up to see them lose and feel good there is HOPE for the future. They were let down as usual (Raider are used to the let down year after year after....) MAXX CROSBY is sitting somewhere right now thinking about his future. he KNOWS his playing years are numbered and he KNOWS he wants a super bowl ring! HE NOW knows it's NOT going to be with the RAIDERS! (the team with bridge QBs every year). Raiders had Jimmy G a year ago, Minshew this year (and AO), and will have kirk cousins next year. OKAY!
