Hands free option-I just say -hey Siri torch on or hey Siri torch off, and the flashlight goes on or off hands-free. I use the word torch because it’s only one syllable. Saying Flashlight just seems awkward.

According to Apple, one does not need to close apps. They are designed to be open, and they are not necessarily live. There can be flukes. I always close my camera app cause you just don't know what it might be up to.

I've had no issues other than battery life. I'm not recommending it yet though. Besides, the final version will be out very soon. But if you're adventurous, you could load it up. So far, pretty stable for me.

I would like to second the comment regarding all hints do not apply to all versions of window. My version says it is 18.0.1 and does not perform the new options in models. Knowing what models these updates apply to might be able to help if someone tries to update and check all his hints out and they don’t work.

Yes. That's right. I try to make videos that span an array of iPhones from older ones to the newest. But it's not always possible to bridge everything together. Hopefully some of the tips helped out a little.

I do reminder/calender in reverse. If I have an appointment/meeting, date, tTASK, I JUST add a reminder THEN link it to calender…then I have clock, cal, reminder all in 1 widget STACK. Day planner DONE.

When you touch your iPhone screen, it illuminates for about four seconds. I would like it to remain illuminated for a longer time. Is that possible?

If your iPhone is locked and you touch your screen but don't unlock it, the illumination is going to fade quickly. However, if you unlock your phone and you want it to stay illuminated longer with inactivity, you can change this by going to Settings > Display and Brightness > Auto-Lock and change the default time between when you last touch your phone and when it automatically locks after inactivity. You can always lock your phone immediately by pressing the side button. I hope this helps.

Why would I want to put all my activities on the iPhone? It takes a lot of time and I would have to consult regularly. I prefer a a slip of paper and a pencil. That way, my wife can also add or cross out items. I love gadgets, but sometimes I think I have to change a perfect routine, just to make use of the gadget.

Of course it’s because you have an older iPhone. Dynamic Island only came out on iPhone 14 Pro then to all models in the iPhone 15 lineup afterwards

I have just installed iOS 18 on my iPhone 12 and the passwords app does not look quite the same as the one in your video. There is no facility to add a new folder as you demonstrate (no icon in the bottom left) all I can do is add a new “Shared Group” or create a new password (plus icon in the right hand bottom right hand corner). Is this to do with the iPhone model, or is the first iteration not fully functional.
