Fantastic work by some great sailors. So proud to be a free American because of them and their colleagues. Truth be told, racism has been ubiquitous worldwide since Biblical times. What is seen in this episode is not so sad as that it took so many millennia for its tight grip to begin to be unraveled by the greatest nation that has ever existed. Now that we see light at the end of a long tunnel, we must be careful not to peer back into the darkness with hindsight criticism.

Such a fanciful and unnecessary method of disposing of the unwanted passenger and what a load of crap about it sinking the subchaser. A depth charge exploding at 250 feet is going to do essentially zero damage to any vessel on the surface unless said vessel is directly over the explosion (even then not much). They could have easily gone to flank speed and rolled it off the side without serious risk to the ship or crew.

Subchasers are very small lightly built vessels. Very easy to sink.
