Of course but then again that is the mindset of the players in both college and Pros ( does anyone expect Barkley to keep playing n the second half next week if he gets the yardage in the first half). Every year the game and the players change ...... and it never is in favour of more character. Not a fans of Shadeur but I will give him credit for playing the entire game. I really have no team these days but back in the day ( i am almost 70_ ) i was a Canes fan

good comparable . I would say Colt was better at slinging it, leadership and discipline , which is why he did have a long career with some good moments

i don't know why Bruce Feldman isn't more visible online or doesn't have his own platform though i am ignorant on that front. Having said that--the UGA playbook stays the same regardless of QB, Notre Dame has never beaten Georgia, Texas has a better defense than Notre Dame statistically speaking though their schedules were both pillow soft, and oh---the offense in the 2nd half of the SEC title game was better for Georgia with Gunner. Why? Why indeed. Gunner doesn't have a howitzer for an arm. He throws passes you can catch. He also came to UGA for football. Carson Beck was a baseball player first. Fastballs all year, noone had a catchers mitt.

Stop it Bruce. Ward isn’t any better than Sanders. He’s “supposedly” a Top 5 pick and he’s been worse than Ward. Anyone drafting Cam isn’t getting a leader. From either QB.

I tend to agree with you but I've been thinking maybe its better to let the next QB get some experience in a bowl game. These non CFP bowl games dont really matter long term.

@ and some teams do use these games for that reason. However, we have zero idea what conversations took place between Ward and his teammates/coaches. If it is true a lot of other players would have sat out then maybe him playing for a half was a good idea. Him playing a half or not playing has zero impact on draft status. If you can play you can play. That’s all teams care about. These situations will hopefully begin to work themselves out when the court decision is made soon and we have better guardrails for NIL.
