Draymond got 5 games for trying to choke out Rudy Gobert. This isn't as hard of a hit, but it's the 2nd time he's assaulted someone when he's supposed to be playing basketball in the past 30 days. 20 game suspension minimum.

On the Hall of fame thing. Draymond has yet to realize that his HOF argument is not because of the player he is but the teams he’s had. If acts like he’s a big name when he’s just a overvalued role player on a dominant team
@gregrizzo80549 ай бұрын
You need to watch more basketball if you think his value to the Warriors was as a role player. Role players dont win DPOY awards and lead championship teams in assists.
@ebpxyz1239 ай бұрын
It's simple assault. He needs to be held accountable as if it was at a bar or on the street.
@kevincicarella91639 ай бұрын
I still don’t understand how he not being charged with assault. This guy is clearly a danger to other players and anyone else who’s on the court
@drhexagonapus9 ай бұрын
I'm guessing the other player would have to press charges for him to get charged, but it definitely could be considered a crime.

The ESPN notification of this says it all: "Draymond Green unleashes spinning backhand to Jusuf Nurkic's face..." If you know nothing about the NBA, you'd think this was a notification for a UFC knockout.

As a warriors fan, we need to trade this guy. It is no longer bringing an edge to the team, it's just ridiculous now.

Draymond's explanation of what happened is another problem the modern NBA has. Where is it written that EVERY foul (or what players think is a foul) will get called simply because the player wants it called? He assaulted Nurkic because he was trying to "sell' the call.
@thegentlemen93899 ай бұрын
Lets be clear Draymond in the 90's would have got laid out.... he wouldn't have tried that with Barkley, Malone, Kemp, Oakley or any of those dudes hes trying this in a PG league... plus in the 90's i dont think he would have been in the league longer than 2 or 3 seasons.
@gr33dyglutton9 ай бұрын
Part of the reason Draymond is still acting out, at an increasing rate, is because the NBA has often let him off with a fine instead of a suspension. Draymond clearly thinks it's ok to hit people as long as he tries to make it look accidental. NO ONE believes he did that on accident. This reminds me of when Artest elbowed Harden. Draymond needs to get in through his head he can't behave like this. He's going to hurt someone. Taking his lies and serial offender status he should be suspended for at least 20 games.

He’s doing this on purpose, in my opinion. Not just his actions, but his lack of availability. It’s all good when they were winning and he was the glue guy. But now that there isn’t much to keep together he’s looking less important and doesn’t wanna be on the floor for the end. That way when the season goes how it goes he can say “well I wasn’t on the floor, so…”. Dude looked too eager to run into the locker room last night. Just my opinion.

He ain't the problem, the people who keep on supporting his antics are. Warriors should have gotten rid of him long time ago but they keep on rewarding him with contract extention and making excuse for his BS.

Being a longtime Warriors fan since the mid 1980's, I have no problem with the organization getting rid of Draymond Green via trade. He's more detrimental than beneficial for the team.

Draymond has to apologize for fear of Dame Lillard. Dame is friends with both but Jusuf was at his wedding and Dame wanted to go to Miami because they were willing to take Nurk’s contract.

@yendor869 ай бұрын
His “apology” is completely negated by the lie he told in saying he didn’t intend to do it. “Just trying to sell a call”? Really?!? That’s what players do to sell a call?!? They spin all the way around twice and in the first spin, if you slow down the footage, you make eye contact with the target, adjust your reach slightly to make sure you hit the side of his head, and then keep spinning?!? Seriously? All Nurkic was doing was tugging your jersey slightly. That’s it. And that’s your response? Psych ward is calling
@brettstarks18469 ай бұрын
If the Warriors were still a championship caliber team, he probably would have gotten a slap on the wrist. But when you suck, you’re far less likely to get away with bad behavior. A good overall life lesson.
@davidabbett70119 ай бұрын
His “malfunction” is that he can no longer physically and mentally compete at the elite NBA levels and it is revealing his personal inability to confront his depleting NBA skillsets. It is truly a shame to see this impact his legacy, but this has no become a recurring self-inflicted career hit that is no impacting the league. His time in an NBA uniform is most likely finished.
