My neighbor, and nicest man in the world!! Always said hello as he rode his bike past my house. You couldn't miss him!

The Big Red Head was one of a kind. Growing up in Portland, Oregon we had a front row seat to Bill's greatness on the baskeball court and he truly was the greatest Trailblazer of all time. 77 was a magical year for the franchise. What an absolutely amazing team they were. It was truly lightning in a bottle. They were truly a TEAM! They knew their roles and Ramsey had them playing a beautiful brand of basketball that was amazing to watch. Thanks Dave and Rich for an amazing few minutes down memory lane reminiscing about truly one of the greats of the game and a genuinely beautifull person. He will.always be Portland's hero!!! ❤

I am a Knicks fan in NY and remember that Blazers team fondly. They were like the “ hippie” team with the beards of Bill Walton and Lionel Hollins. Different era indeed.

I'm 63, have had back problems, operations, nothing eases the pain. He was misunderstood, and criticized for not playing when hurt alot. I never realized what others pain could be, till I began having problems myself. But when he was in pretty good shape, probably with alot of pain, he was an incredible player and teammate. But as a color (understatement) commentator, I'd watch a game , just because I wanted to listen to his takes on life, his warmth to / for others. I'm glad he had a good wife that loved him and he for as he neared the end of life's journey. I'll miss his voice and presence he displayed. A great man,

Great stuff Rich. Loved Bill. I am born and raised in LA, in the 70s, and of course we all worshipped UCLA. I played but wasn't good enough for UCLA but watching Bill in college was magical. We were spoiled with how good they were in those days. What a loss for all of us.

Loved Bill Walton! Loved everything about him. As Kareem said about him, "He was the best of us!" When he was healthy he was one of the best Basketball players you would ever see. Just amazing!! As a UCLA Bruin he WAS the PAC 10. He was Southern California basketball and lifestyle. He was the loveable hippie who enjoyed competition and yet knew there was life beyond basketball...and he lived a full and diverse lifestyle.

Thank you to Dave for this. Bill was the tallest and most colorful Dead fan of them all. We have a special place in our hearts here in Eugene for Bill. He was one of a kind. Fitting that he went out with his beloved Conference of Champions.

And the Band played on. RIP Bill. You're hanging with Coach again. Regardless of what you think of Bill, there's no arguing that he was a bright light.

Dave Pasch works a lot, and his primary job is the voice of the Arizona Cardinals. Really just about the top guy in the NFL. He's a throwback to the mature, professional play-by-play guy.

It’s easy to not realize what a button-downed corporate world these announcers live within. The game, the sport, certainly the announcers are only there in service of the advertisers. A guy like Bill, saying just mild guy to guy BS is, in their corporate world, a wild man. lol! RIP legend

I like Dave because of Bill. At first it was awkward watching Bill and Dave calling PAC-12 Utah basketball games but I ended up loving the broadcast pair because Dave’s personality did come out. That you Bill for letting Dave fly!

Hey, Dave? Do you still have that dried-up cholla Bill gifted you on air?... 😃...I hear the hotel is still looking for it. You may be on the hook for receipt of stolen goods if you don't dump it... 😁...The things Walton could say on the air - and get away with at that - were extraordinary indeed...
