Richie Wellens on opening day defeat to Bolton Wanderers

I'm a Bolton fan with a online season ticket living abroad. The difference today was our keeper and squad depth. I don't think Bolton will have many tougher games than that this season. You have an outstanding manager and he's right about some of your players being as good as anything in this league. I honestly think you are in for a great season and I really expect you to be a play off contender.

Fair assessment from Richie Wellens, comes across as a good manager and realistic. From a Bolton fans view our 1st goal seemed to stall us in what we wanted to do in our play, our playmaker Josh Sheehan was never in the game given the tightness & narrow game play. All in all I can see Orient causing one or two upsets this season with a healthy top 8 finish. As for my bwfc this is a fantastic 3 points against a well managed team. Good Luck for the rest of the season.

Richie basically saying Orient have got virtually no chance of going up this season and he’s getting frustrated with the lack of investment in the squad. Our keeper looks pony, Clare had a stinker, Beccles needs shipping out, Pratley is too old (Bolton bring on loads of big strong lads in their prime and we bring on a 39 year old) and Happe is too slow. I fear for Orient defensively this season. That’s my little rant over 🤬

Agree totally, Beckles should never have been offered another contract. Sweeney is a substitute only, at best.
