She’s telling him she needs more one on one connection with him. He’s saying he’s been working his ass off to keep the family afloat. Classic marriage issues. I’m no spiritual guru but if I were here’s what I’d say. Rich plan an outing in nature for just the two of you. Maybe a picnic near a waterfall or lake that you can swim in or at least get your toes wet together. Julie he needs appreciation from you on a more consistent basis. Tell him you love him and all you are so grateful he has found a work path that can be sometimes grueling but also so fulfilling for him. Happy Anniversary.💕

Respectfully speaking, sometimes it's just nice to relax, go for a walk, or listen to some music. It doesn't have to be so "spiritual" or have a "ceremony" to connect. It's simply being. Whether apart or together. Connect. Know each other's boundaries and do what works for you, it shouldn't be a production.

Yeah it feels like their is no ceiling to her expectations. You can tell Rich finds her ideas of how life should be a little impractical too, but he is too respectful to say it frankly. On the other hand, he seemingly received a fair bit of heat from Julie. I hate to comment on their relationship but....

Lauren I don’t think it’s divine. It feels like she’s been burned, understandably, and she’s still holding that. If anyone is wondering if I’ve been there, I have. But this is a strange dynamic, and it’s uncomfortable to watch because it is uncomfortable.

I dated someone like her once. 😂 In some ways she is interesting and in some ways I understand why he sleeps in a tent. I think she should let him do his thing because I think he speaks to a certain audience in a way her ways would not connect with and maybe she should use her own platform to reach people that connect with her message.

I think a lot of people are envious and possibly intimidated by strong women. Only men who are confident and sure of themselves can experience that joy. Also, how open and beautiful their relationship is which most definitely would bring up jealousy in others. I see her being very generous to Rich ...thanking him etc. I guess when negative feelings like jealousy, envy, ill will come up in me I try to hold myself in loving kindness. When I spew my ill will out to others not only does it hurt them it hurts me twice as much. Thanks @Rich Roll and @Julie Piatt for openly sharing how successful relationships work and standing the test of time.

I felt that way from the other podcast. Maybe it's her energy, something doesn't come across easy feeling from her when she is on Rich's podcasts, but, listening to her own podcasts I felt very different about her, still, I don't get the same connection I feel towards Rich, but It was good listening to her by herself. I feel overwhelmed by her and not in a good way, but maybe it's just where I'm at my own path right now.

We are listening to her telling her husband about their relationship. She says “you” in the conversation. If this was her with another interviewer, she might sound natural and relaxed telling her story to the third person, referring Rich as “he”.

WOW. Now it makes perfect sense why her husband would want to sleep in a tent on the roof of his house every night... I felt she pretty much monopolized the entire conversation. That was the first time I've ever heard her speak, usually it's just segments of her cooking in the kitchen and I'm quite surprised as I pictured her to be much more soft and cherishing towards Rich, she's definitely an alpha female I would say! Keep running Rich!!👍🌈😎🌴

I think its great to see a woman set realistic goals in a relationship. I believe it might be confronting for a man to bear witness to that - but the exercise of pushing for change is not always sweet. I love Rich Rolls wife and although it seems confronting her statement is bold and it’s for everyone to hear. Woman should elevate and should have the space and love to do so - setting intention is important and men should partcipate in activation. I think Rich is really brave to allow space for his wife to speak her wants and intergrate changes, it takes a lot of integrity from both of them to talk like this - alot of times this would lead to a respose that was defensive or cloaked witrh passive withdrawal or rejection - or silence. Go team!!!

I feel there is something about her I don´t trust, something that is not as honest as she tries to justify or prove. In my opinion, she would chose partners who she feels would look up to her but also who could provide.... If not, she would move on. As I watched half of this podcast (full version) I felt her ego is unfortunately above the relationship.

Man I understand both. You don’t want to be too intense all the time but you don’t want to be too relaxed. It depends on the tasks at hand. You don’t have to do anything GRAND and OUTRAGEOUS to have a good experience though. I’m more like Rich on the routine and expectation of how the day will go. It’s very HARD for me to be vulnerable and spontaneous for the sake of it.

This conversation exudes self respect mirrored in love of one another, pure regard for autonomy and sovereignty. It is very beautiful to watch. Julie speaks a voice that many women have kept hidden, a collective voice that is beginning to find safe space in more non-judgmental platforms. Comments beginning to form in this feed are an example of why silence has been maintained to avoid these judgements, status quo. But no longer. Julie is carving a path for many women who are finding courage to express their voices and souls regardless of negative pushback. It’s seems clear Rich honours this voice through open dialogue and deep listening.

Hmm. I'm a bit confused are they sending a message to their audience or are they in the verge of being bore with each other that the chemistry is fading away. I have being in a relationship with the same person for the last 22 years and there comes a point in a relation that you just want want to disconnect from everything including your partner, wife, kids. Maybe they are at that point in their relationship it doesn't mean they don't love each other anymore is just that they have outgrown their relationship as humans, lovers, friends it can be dangerous. Having this dialogue will definitely help them and any one else release some of that stress, even though they look completely stress free.
