This is the magic of SAW/PWL they could take an ordinary person and make them an absolute STAR !!! Rick started at PWL as a errand boy and he was overheard singing but was to shy to sing either live or recorded at first. Pete Waterman DARED HIM FOR 1000 POUNDS TO SING LIVE AND RICK ACCEPTED THE CHALLENGE. That is how we got Rick Astley. Great choice Pete. Almost all of SAW's singers were people that they scouted out from churches, karaoke , and random recordings that were sent to them. But they were the absolute best in the mid 80's to early 90's.
