This was such a fun watch, nice that he’s explaining what he’s doing for those of us who don’t do any mixing ourselves. However, I bet you also learned something from this as well Jesse. I love watching Rick Beato. He’s so genuine and his opinions are generally spot on. He is such a great interviewer too. I particularly liked his interviews with the guys from The Police, especially the Stewart Copeland one. Also, his Pat Metheny one as well. I also thought his take down of the corruption in the music industry was so timely. I like the way Rick mixed music, I think he is so good at it because he knows music inside out and plays so many instruments himself.

So. Throwing out an idea for a video: The studio. What happens there, when a band shows up? What's pre-production? How are tracks laid down? What does the producer do, vs the engineer? What's mixing? How are effects created, like the telephone/megaphone vocals? Whatever effect is put on Dany's voice in AS, where it sounds like she's singing in your ear? How does all of this come together to make actual music?

This was cool. I love music but never really done much making of it. At least not since I was a kid anyway, I don't even own a drum, guitar, or keyboard anymore. I always thought it would be cool to produce/mix ect. and this just makes me want to get into it even more. Did you stick around for my Dorothy request the other day? I'm curious what you thought about it. Musically, vocally and the mix of it. Did you see The mic setup on the kick drum?

Thanks for watching!!! There’s lots of great programs online where you can download ‘stems’ or recordings to practice editing and mixing, they usually have all kinds of tips along with them as well! I’ll send you some later this evening And I muted my stream so I could react! Which song was it again?

@Beldvlmnt don't worry about sending them I need to get a new computer first, have to leave mine at the office for work and it's on its last leg. I'll hot you up about it when I get a new one. Thanks though. The song was Dorothy- What's Coming To Me unplugged. I think you'll like several things about it.
