That deep voice was Temptations . He was kin to one of the singers of Temptations. The first best group singers ever existed Temptations made a few backup recordings for Rick during the early 80s. But they were only seen on one video with Rick

Back in the day I listened to Rick James. And I certainly like to stuff but now I listen to it and I can appreciate his vocalability something. I never noticed before he has such control over his voice it's pretty impressive
