Rick Toone handing over the Spearfish to Dany in 2020 when The Warning were recording their 3rd album with David Bendeth will always stay with me. As will Dany, Pau & Ale signing a Spearfish that Rick Toone lent Dany for their Mother of Rock Festival, Monterrey, Mexico in 2017 when the were just 17, 15 & 13 respectively. A 13 year old going on stage to open for Def Leppard in a proper rock show!!! 🤯 Def Leppard were so impressed that they invited the sisters to open for them again a few days later at Guadalajara, Mexico. Prodigies.

as having first hand xperince of playing that specific guitar the neck is absolutly silky smooth, i was trying it out as i was in the studio and he was helping out with us

The Warning rocks! So young and so talented. And Dany slayed the spearfish. But now she’s with PRS guitars. Still the spearfish fits her very well. I’m dying to get a Rick Toone guitar but it’s so expensive which isn’t crazy at all. The man puts a lot of work and effort into his build of the guitars.

Hi Gabriel, this is great video. It's amazing how the neck is made all from metal. Something that keeps bugging me, and I can't find an answer to, is the fret orientation. How is it possible to play a guitar that has frets that look as if I was looking at a perspective drawing. I mean they are slanted and kind of converge at the middle where we have some "standard", vertical ones. Near the body they seem to go down, near the headstock seem to go up. Has Rick Toone told you how he came up with this design and why? How does this affect playing and tuning??? Another question, though less important, what is that sort of band you put on the headstock

Do these have issues with temperature? I've heard that some of the aluminum neck instruments (Travis Bean) can expand and contract enough while playing to throw off the intonation.

The fingerboard is also aluminum??

Yes! The whole neck including the fingerboard is aluminum. All one piece.
