Rickey Smiley Morning Show

Күн бұрын

Rickey Smiley took some time out of “The Rickey Smiley Morning Show” to have a real, honest talk with the kids that are listening alongside their parents in the car or at home. He breaks it down all the way, reminding kids that they tend to take their parents for granted when all they want is to do whatever is best for their child.

My grown kids in there 20s do not seem to care how there actions make me feel at all because " as mom you had to stay mom . " But dad can do no wrong because you came in after they was born and took up the job of dad when another male didn't want to be dad . They talk to him but will not text me . We pay our grown daughters electric and trash and give her a place to park her trailer she got for free . I told my husband I didn't want our only truck lent out . He let her use it and she blew the radiator blew heads it's going to cost me 900 to fix it . She drove it as it was over heating . So now we have no way to do food shopping but hey she has friends to call that will help her . Yes I'm mad . Yes I feel like I used to ask what did I do wrong . Now I'm saying . I will not beg anyone to love me . I'm done . I'm going to get a vehicle that fits the need of mine and my man's so we can take trips in our early retirement and enjoy ourselves because his daughter will not let him see his grandchild our daughter has a boyfriend that is talking out the side of his unemployed mouth writing check his a$$ can't cash about how we dont clearly want to be grandparents yet she keeps taking it because he is the dad . I'm over it . I raised 2 kids at younger then them . Yet they can't handle themselves and have 1 on the way . It has me mad for what the future holds for them yet hopeful for hubby and I and what the next part of our life looks like .

Joshua Bruce im so proud of you young BRUTHA. You sat back and actually took in Mr. Smiley's message. I'm commending you because of the fact that there are adults who try so hard to send that same message everyday and teenagers your same age become so defensive simply bcuz they're guilty of exhibiting that same disrespectful behavior as described by Rickey and refuse to hear the truth and miss such a valuable lesson. YOU are one of the few teenagers to take that information in and actually use it as a tool. Again my young brutha, I commend you for listening. That's a great start to moving in the right direction.

My daughter is grown (26) and I’m so drained from her being so disrespectful constantly. Especially her text messages. You’d think I didn’t raise her. Then again, let her tell it, I didn’t. I’ve been dealing with this mess since she was 15/16. She blames me for everything that doesn’t go right in her life. When she listens to none of the advice I’ve given her. But she constantly listens and respects others I’m so tired of it. It’s just made me not want to be around it’s. Too draining... it’s even made me distance myself from certain family members because they believe her over me. But then when they talk to me it’s a different story. Why does showing me respect so hard to do?

You Sir is what i call a real man. A real man that's a success. The bible says to honor you mother and Father so that you may have a long life and be of good success . This is one of the ten commandments and the only one that comes with that promise . Exodus 20. May Yah bless you according to numbers 6 :23-26 . I dont know what its like to have a kid to respect and honor me the way you just did your Mom and Dad. I tried hard son . I am a African American female i was in this Army for 8years . I worked hard even when i got out after the 1st Gulf war to provide for my children and to teach them about the things and ways of God. When i had alot they was there and when i had nothing they werent. Now they have . As adults they are very successful. One is a Microbiologist for the FDA and the other is a big time Security Stockbroker for big banks . They have beautiful homes one in Colorado and the other here in Houston they dont want for nothing. Ive never heard them say thank you. . I pray and sometimes things are better but you know son i know its because i love Jesus and no kid on this earth can separate me from the Love of the Lord. Enough about me i take pleasure and so happy to know there are Men and others like you that love and respect thier parents. THANK YOU and God Bless you

Diana Barnes, you keep being the Best Mother you can be. Keep talking, keep inspiring, and keep praying for strength for you and your child. I tell my two daughters, my magic book that helps me to raise them to the best of my ability, is my BIBLE. Just as I stated, I have 2 beautiful daughters that are God's gift. He chose me to share them with him...I say this because I know they belong to him, FIRST! Diana, I can feel your pain! Are my daughters good children? Yes...Are they respectful? Yes....Are they perfect? NO..... They are just like any other children that, sometimes get out of line...and have to be reminded, God has allowed me to make a million sacrifices for you, YOU WILL RESPECT ME AT ALL TIMES!!! My title is MOTHER, at ALL TIMES! not friend.....and I will say it again, I'm MOTHER, a lot of responsibilities come with that title....this responsibility wasn't given to a friend...Just as I love my daughters, I know children can make you cry sometimes.....How do I know? I have been there...So, Diana, you and any Mother who finds this message to be touching to the heart, keep pushing and praying.....God sees it all....Thank you Ricky Smiley, for your great wisdom from GOD!

Going through it with my 15 year old daughter. I set boundaries yet give her trust and freedom until I see that trust has been broken. I punish her she gets sneaky....and I get physical. She calls CPS. The weapon formed against didn’t prosper. She ran away Sunday night to her little boy’s house while his mom worked overnight. I knew she was there when I saw her gone, God is good because she didn’t get kidnapped on her long walk to his house. She has turned into some one I don’t know. So I let her go live with her bio dad that just got out of prison in Feb while we were on a Bahamas 🇧🇸 cruise. Lol I’m reclaiming my peace and focus. I have 2 toddlers that doesn’t need to see their mom crazy over a disobedient spirit. My husband never treated her like a step child. I know God will get the glory in the end, I’m just on an emotional roller coaster. I trust GOD will protect her from hurt harm and danger.

@@rineekabrooks3529 don’t feel bad. After years of fighting with my 17 year old son, I finally forced him over there to go with his dad. He crushed my heart, but it’s been quiet and peaceful ever cents. He thought he could run the household and run me and I had to show him one of us had to go and it’s not gonna be me. I put him out and never look back. Now he’s over there living with his dad dealing with his dad’s rules and he don’t give him any problems. So at this point it is what it is he’s eating now I’m hopeful that he’s matured a little bit before he graduates this year and hope there’s some point he has enough decency to come back and apologize for the way he acted in my home. I’m not even sure if our relationship would ever be the same but I couldn’t let him stay here trying to run circles around me.🥂🤷🏽‍♀️

Although Ricky's message with regards to this video is directed to young folks...I'm also taking Ricky's message to heart as a 52 year old man. Why? Because learning new ways of improving my life never gets old. There's always, always room for improvement. At my age I could literally pick my Momma up with 1 finger and still she commands my respect and admiration. If my mom was standing before my face, I'd be incline to ask her permission to cuddle my own wife in front of her company. Oh, and 1 more thing. Women are the only people who may find themselves as single parents.

I said it shows ingratitude for the person who makes everything happen for them. The councillor says I should say the same statement to myself!?! Huh? He says I should pick my battles with them. I argued it and said O don't ever let a disrespect go unchallenged. I feel like I'm paying a fortune to be trained to enable my children to be abusers of others. My blood boils when my children talk to me like dirt. The councillor says I have anger issues because my parents were too strict and I'm setting up my children to suffer. Then I head this which is confirming my belief of demanding respect for the work we put in. I'm nobody's doormat not even my own flesh.

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2 “Honor your father and mother,”which is the first commandment with promise: 3 “that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth.” 4 And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord. Thank you so much for making this video. Both my grown sons turned on me last year because they felt I could have done a better job of raising them. I was a single parent. I left my marriage because my husband would not take care of his family(He was in another relationship) I was a good mother and I did the best I could! If it wasn't for my Faith in God this situation would have given me a nervous breakdown! I came from a single mother but all my life I love and took care of my mother. We all make mistakes raising children butI always put my children first. If anyone came up against me and my two sons then you were a problem. They both finish high school, college, and went in the Military. Now I'm old and sick they both have deserted me.They say, they don't owe me anything! I never asked for much. Just a little help now and then. The oldest son wife hasnt spoke to me in 4 years. We disagree on raising my grandson(I spank him 4 yrs ago) He needed it. You are not going to tear my house up.You have to show children right way to go because one day they are going to be stronger than you are. Please pray for my family. My heart is broken.Don't grow up and mistreat your parents. Thank you for this opportunity to express myself. You are doing a great job. May God bless you and your family.

It touch me! I did a disservice to my teenage daughter and SPOILED HER, never said, "No", never gave her chores, let her think she was in charge! Now, I would never live with her in this state! I did her a disservice! I hope I have enough years left in my life to undo it. What a good message! I am a single mother also, traded my time for pay to keep a roof over our head. What a mess! And I wish my daughter could hear this also. I wish something would make her appreciate what she has.

I know this is 3 years old, but you can’t blame yourself for sacrificing to take care of your daughter. I went through the same thing! Apologized to her for the lack of time for having to work endless hours to make sure we were straight! Even after that, the disobedience is consistent! As single mother’s we have to do what we have to do in order to provide! This SHOULD breed appreciative kids.

Take it a step further and mention them all because ALL of them are equally important: •Have NO other God before Him, •Don't have any graven images that represent God (crosses, etc), •Don't take (use) His name in vain, •Keep the sabbath day holy (Fri Night to Sat night), •Honor father AND mother, •Don't kill, •Don't commit adultery, •Don't steal •Don't lie on others •Don't covet what others have. IF we did all these, the black experience would change overnight! #TheTenCommandments

"2 “Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment accompanied by a promise, namely, 3 “that it may go well with you and that you will live a long time on the earth." 4 Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but raise them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord." This is the problem with the black community. Some, not all, raise disrespectful kids because they disrespect their own kids so that's all their kids know. Some curse their kids out, beat the hell out of them (beat not whoop for being bad but beat bc THEY are having a bad day) don't teach the boundaries, allow people in their family to abuse them, and then expect kids to be loving, kind, and compassionate to them. It doesnt not work that way. I've seen kids raised with so much love, respect and kindness and guess what? They are loving and respectful kids who grew up to be loving and respectful adults. Black parents LOVE telling kids, "I bought you this, I did this!" That's what youre supposed to do as a parent, feed and clothe them. As well as teach them how to be decent respectful human beings. It's not just respect the mother and father ... but to raise them up in DISCIPLINE! Teach the youth instead of condemn them. Some kids repeat the same toxic cycles of emotional abuse because their parents never let them speak. I'm so thankful for therapy and my parents! It's a two way street and we need to a better of job of nurturing as well preparing the youth for the next generation.

@@adrianepb8607 yeah I worked in the field, I quit in the 90s when they called mothers raising children on their own "the path of least resistance" cuz we were going to destroy their families. I was told to deliberately fail their children's testing and force them into special ed programs so we could keep that Federal funding coming in for at least 12 years. Hire more Union teachers And if Mama didn't go along? Threaten custody of her kids! We were specifically to seek out women on their own, not fooling around, no boys in their beds, the ones doing the right thing. Those would be social workers! Their jobs depend on finding problems, so they will find them. They have some of the highest rates of mental illness, addiction, and I want nothing to do with them I had meetings with social workers who were filthy, smelled, holes in their dirty clothing... Always jumping and running to do their paperwork for them I wanted nothing to do with that industry! I was director of a psychiatric halfway house- they changed all the laws around mental health, I can tell you why the suicide rates are highest since the depression, but you wouldn't care I would think that you'd want to hear from a whistleblower social worker. We know what goes on behind-the-scenes, we know exactly how families are being ripped apart for profit, in a capitalist country, that has 90% of the world's lawsuits take place in the USA. We're all for sale. But I know even more because I started working in law offices at 15 years old. I can tell you why black people are in jail, disproportionately. Nobody wants to hear it. I have a multiracial family, I can tell you exactly where racism comes from-nobody wants to hear it. 🙈🙉🙊 The solution? Get rid of social workers But you've already turned your community over to the federal government, so you're ruled by social workers. There are thousands of x social workers that come out of the 70s 80s and 90s who tried to warn you. Stay away from social workers at all costs.

@@adrianepb8607 Iused to work in that field-and I found out what it was about, the corruption they were asking me to do, the fake dossiers I had to write-failing children's testing to force them into programs where they didn't belong simply to bring in federal funding. I'm basically a blackballed whistleblower. I tried warning people about this over 25 years ago. Went to the media, politicians, nothing.. Crickets... They left beaten children in households, refused to investigate because there was a male present in the household. I was told to go after single moms, the ones that were doing the right thing on their own-because they were "the path of least resistance." We could do anything we wanted to them, destroy their lives, manipulate them-trap them in our state for over 12 years to guarantee that Federal funding, expand School district, hire more ed techs to pay teacher union dues. Yes, I did the job and that's how I know about the corruption. It's over 25 years later, you have no idea how that corruption has spread like wildfire. There's not enough time nor room on KZbin comments to explain it. Know financial history, follow the money. Get a passport, open your eyes-use common sense. The more money we throw at a problem, the bigger the problem gets- If we ever won the war against poverty, drugs, child domestic abuse, hunger, homelessness-the federal state and municipal unemployment rates would go sky-high Once a government opens an agency to address a problem? Once the problem is fixed, which it never is-they don't shut down these agencies. A good example of this is when they repealed prohibition. Instead of shutting down the federal agency, they turned toward hemp to stop black sharecroppers from fringing on Carnegie and Rockefeller textile cotton and timber holdings... That's why the movie reefer madness came out, had nothing to do with smoking pot. I'm could pretty much be grown anywhere, in 6-weeks-easy cheap crop that doesn't deplete the soil. But Carnegie and Rockefeller needed that stopped so the federal government did it for them. These agencies are designed to get bigger and bigger, they're so over-bloated now they have to keep expanding to pay the retirees pensions while keeping current staff going. They're only going to over bloat budgets even more. Family courts intentionally set child support just below poverty level to control these families-meanwhile these guys can not pay child support, use the money to hire a lawyer and nail these women and children in court And if you're not in the trash? They will put you there. Massachusetts had an extremely corrupt state police barracks-the forensic investigator fudged over 40,000 drug tests and cases to falsely put innocent black men in jail just to get the federal funding. Very effective way of putting a bunch of people in the trash. Look up how federal funds are distributed by race and crime. They rip these families apart, shove their families into subsidized housing and then the rest of society drinks this Kool-Aid, calls them welfare government mule hores You're going to start seeing a lot of propaganda stories on a single mom found in a parking lot passed out with kids in her car, we're seeing the recycled stories of what happened on Indian reservations now because the federal funding budget meetings are coming up You need to find out how federal funds are distributed in this country-I can guarantee you they'll be a glut of lawyers & a high parts per million of them in those areas. It's complicated but it's simple. Money don't lie 🎤 Drop

Funny how no one mentioned respect for the kid's. SMFH. Because sometimes yall give us a reason to disrespect yall. Teachers too. But if yall insult us and then we clap back automatically we are the disrespectful ones. Seriously tho like grow da fuck up and respect us thats it. Thats all we want. I believe im speaking for behalf of the teenage community

Out of any video on KZbin, this one should have ZERO dislikes. This the is the truth! I lost my dad in 2018 right before fathers day. Trust me it was plenty of things I wish I did and said different. Now those things haunt me plenty of days. Young or old please listen and share this video.

This also applies to grown kids too. My daughters father and I did everything for our kids. We really did too much. We sent our daughter to college she finished. She wanted to get an apartment but she needed to save some money. No problem. So I only had her to pay 1 bill; so she will not have any excuse to why she couldn't get the money up to move. Now this girl makes a good income. She have the nerve to say all I want is her money. She only pay 1 bill (water bill) I had to tell her it's time for her to go. She had 30 days to move on. She is very disrespectful. I am just so done with her. I have been through so much. It's not fair. I'm just venting. Thanks Ricky for the message you brought to do many. Hopefully some child or adult can get something out of your message.

I know this was few years ago but I'm going through this and im trying to get up from around it!! God let me know i wont get my blessings until they get from around me!! Im 41yrs old just getting into my career. God was waiting for my son to leave(never cared for me) made sure he graduated highschool nd graduated college this yr. I have an 18yr this yr graduated highschool. And my 16 going on 17yr old. God wanted them to be out and almost out for my to get my blessings! Just like he had Abraham leave his family before he blessed him it's the same here. God don't intend for everyone to be included in ur blessings. And we wondering why we not getting blessed, it's because we don't want to let go of what/ who GOD telling us to.
