I had a discussion with my fiancé about this last night. By the time our parents are old enough to have grandchildren, most of them are tired of disciplining children cause they've gone so hard in the paint on us for years. 18+ years of whipping ass, yelling, punishing, and speeches, and they are WORN OUT. They get soft and just want to enjoy your children without the extra bull. Especially if they had more than one child. Hell my dad had 7 children and I alone gave my mother hell at times, so I don't expect them to lay a finger on mines. They are tired. Then my fiancé had the nerve to say if I don't whip our daughters, he'll take them to his mom for one and she broke his heart lol. She was like, "BOY you crazy. I'm done with whoopings."

Cause taking your kid to the hospital and being concerned with materialistic things are 2 whole different things.
