She claims she has traction alopecia which is hair loss due to tightly pulled hairstyles, such as braids, dreadlocks, or a tight ponytail. Caught early, it is fully reversible and the hair can regrow. Over time, however, hair follicles can become irreversibly damaged.

I manufactured wigs and took care of Hair Loss for 27 years. I did about 80,000 weeks a month. That woman does not have alopecia which is blotch and spot Hair Loss. She bleachers her hair and destroys it and she has a receding hairline that’s on top of her ears and she don’t like it. It has nothing to do with alopecia she’s going bald. She has a receding, hairline. She over processes her hair with blonde bleaching stripping then color. It has nothing to do with alopecia stop insulting woman that have alopecia.

@snowyboots She doesn't have alopecia of any description, but she does have severe vanity and the OP is right....or don't you think someone like Jada can't read and manipulate those around her? When this story broke I and many others called her out for her narcissism and her obvious bending of the truth. Does she not see all those bald men around her? I guess it isn't rocket science as to who the majority of people were that called her out? That's just my take on it of course.

@@snowyboots2706 And yet you disregarded the OP's opinion. Irony....look it up. As for Jada? In her case vanity and her *claim* of alopecia are certainly mutually exclusive, narcissists are very good at lying except it doesn't work with *everyone* whether they meet them in person or not. Maybe you should step back a bit and look *very closely* at her claims and put it into *context* but first you have to go back a bit long before this incident happened, what you'll find might change your mind......might.

My 6 year old granddaughter is dealing with Alopecia, and she's got eyebrows and lashes. Her hair is beginning to grow back, however the hairs do not look like hair growing back after being shaved. A lot of black supremecists shave their head and it's one of those things where some people have a funny shaped head and look silly with it shaved, but you can't know if your head is like that until you commit and shave it. But no one can mention that because it's not her fault she got that crippling illness.
@Ms9mmBeretta

@@shanarchy614people don't understand that this woman is rich. She can cover up all those patches with makeup and she can make her eyelashes and eyebrows look full with makeup. I'm not ready to say she doesn't have alopecia, even though I doubt it. I can't say 100% for sure. Just because she doesn't have patches on her head or she seems like she has full eyebrows isn't enough for me to definitely say she doesn't have it. You can look like you have hair growing right out of your scalp and that's not your hair. So I'm pretty sure if someone has alopecia, they can use wigs and makeup and fake eyelashes and eyebrows to compensate for that. It doesn't mean they don't have alopecia.

I have been bald. When you are truly bald, you have no stubble. She has stubble. She is bald from shaving, not from alopecia. And I’m, also a hairdresser, and have seen alopecia close-up and personal. Hair falls out at the follicle, leaving no discernible evidence…..just a smooth, slick skin. And, typically, it’s temporary, and stress seems to exacerbate it. And, alopecia is NOT a disability.

Not standing up for her because i do y know her lol, but alopecia is just a generalised term for a bunch of issues that can cause hair to fall out. Not all cases of alopecia look the same...... I hope you heal through your depression! I was depressed, thoughts sometimes still creep in! And not here to give advice or anything, but just some food for thought! When I look back now, with my depression, I just feel like it was the biggest waste of time! Dwelling over what I didn’t have while doing nothing about it! Sitting and wallowing in my own pity and wishing all these things and then being envious, jealous and angry why others are happy and have what they have and why can’t I? Meanwhile I’m sitting in my own 💩 crying and being angry! It’s exhausting. I don’t know what your depression is! Mine was lack of self worth, stuck in a job I hate, using substances and surrounding myself with toxic people with no goals. Just remember you only have this one life and you don’t wanna look back and not feel fulfilled about everything that could have been. Step into nature more, swim in the ocean and release all that isn’t while you’re in the water! Let the waves wash it away! Speak kind words to yourself, think pure thoughts of your body and soul! Work on what you can change, accept what you can’t, move away from those who bring you down and focus on the things that bring you joy 🙏🏽

Jada said in an old interview that she had ""traction alopecia"" , which is caused by tying knots in certain hair styles, corn-rows, tight plats etc , pulling and tying your hair into tight weaves etc causes the scalp to stretch, which leaves slim bands of scalp where hair doesn't grow , it's like scar tissue, also certain hair products, bleaching, etc causes the scalp to burn leaving space where hair does NOT grow ..... the more you do it, the worse it gets ,,,, she does NOT have the ""auto-immune"" alopecia , it was caused by her choice in hair styles .....

Losing them was the hardest part. I have a dark patch of hair on my scalp where I first discovered the hair loss. Also, seeing more peach fuzz coming in so I am hopeful I will have a full head of hair again. In Jada's case it's "disabling" because she lives in a World that defines people by outward appearance. I've only had one person ask what kind of cancer I have. Others just compliment my bandanas. Most people don't care or keep their opinions to themselves.

Defo, alopecia doesn’t have stubble, it’s bald. If it was alopecia you would see patches of bald between the shaved bits. She may have had hair thinning due to getting older with menopause but I wouldn’t call that alopecia. In alopecia there is absolutely no hair regrowing in those bald patches…. I’m a hairdresser and if someone said shave all my hair off coz I’ve got bald patches I’d probably try to talk them out of it, plus if she was soooo concerned about them you’d think the last thing she would want would be a totally bald head…. Hmm. I'm not for curtailing freedom of speech. And I think resilience to criticism or abuse is to be encouraged, however taking the position "Words are violence? - NO THEY ARE NOT!" is very unsophisticated. It doesn't take much imagination to appreciate that words can be akin to violence. Imagine you have a beloved 12 year old daughter, and when she walks home from school a group of older boys she passes say horrific things to her every day. This will traumatise her and effect her physical system profoundly. We are social creatures. To be threatened, rejected or held in contempt effects our biology.

See, the whole time I saw R.G. as a great comedian. Mr. Gervais is very intelligent, and can dern sure hold his side of a conversation in any crowd. Have been a huge fan for many years. Now, even more so. Great post. Thanks

Almost every animal, except humans, knows when its natural time is up. When there are no humans around to rush them to vets and intervene, they instinctively find somewhere quiet and away from the group, and pass away privately.

I think it’s as nothing to do with privacy. If they find a quiet and away, it’s probably because they feel sick snd they don’t want to be eaten.

I've been present for 3 of my family dying, and I don't agree that humans don't know when their "time is up", as you say.

Carer for the elderly here. People do know when their time is up, but their friends and relatives go into denial and try to medicate them better. It's what we do, they don't want to lose them.😢 ❤
