One of the funniest things I have ever heard was when one of our teachers came into the classroom laughing his head off. He had just been reading a leaflet in the staffroom that had been sent to each school ( From the education dept. or whatever ) about suggestions on how to teach teenage kids about ...well, "The facts of life" for want of a better phrase. Thus it began :-"Imagine Mummy has an engine in her tummy and Daddy has a starting handle". Of course we were all in hysterics! Then he said "Honestly, this is for real, this is actually what they have sent us, for teaching FIFTEEN year olds!"

yeah, like in a joke magazine or something. with most things like this in comedy (EG: most comedians BS hypothetical stories) it'd be funny if it was real, but if you are just making shit up to hit a fake punchline, it loses 80% of the hilarity- and i just have a hard time believing its real. I'm sick of comedians lying to me like I'm an idiot. insulting. i can make up funnier stuff, but its fake. i do genuinely enjoy how he laughs at his own jokes though. i honestly find it endearing.
