Go have an auditory test then, he says, "This happened on Scum." Scum is a TV play about young offenders' institutions in the 70s. He was clearly referencing this because he was practically being molested by Ricky and Steve. This is why Ricky laughs, because Karl can still be witty even if he's in an uncomfortable situation. Ricky wasn't expecting it. Now, even IF he said, "At least after the month's done", where's the joke in that statement? Not only that, what does that statement mean?
