No one today can even begin to understand the genius of this video. Bringing Bill Monroe to the NYC subway and dancing with the locals is a genre bending monument to country music. Ricky Skaggs is an underrated legend.

I remember driving home from a job up North and first heard 'Don't get above your raising" on the radio. I told all my work buddy's this guy is going to be a star. Love me some Ricky Skaggs. He is even from near where i was born and half raised in a place called Cordell, Kentucky named after my Cordell ancestors..

Late E-Street Band sax player Clarence Clemons makes a cameo appearance in the video. See him at the 0:40 mark among other places. The interior shots were filmed at the long since torn down Peninsula House Hotel on the ocean in Sea Bright, NJ.

In the music video for the Ricky Skaggs song "Honey (Open That Door)" (1984), Skaggs portrays a neighbor, who is trying to let someone open the door by throwing things, and is apprehended by his friends and police officers, such as playing cards, talking on the phone in a telephone booth, dining in a restaurant, telling the landlord in an upstairs room, taking the chair from a bedroom and rocking when she talks on the telephone, and climbing up on the ladder causing Skaggs to fall, in which a bald man woke up. In the end, Skaggs and his friends are trying to let them open the door with the police officer, who keeps throwing things.👍
