Twenty years after creating the imaginary Ricky Stanicky, three childhood friends still use the nonexistent pal as a handy alibi for their immature behavior. When their spouses and partners get suspicious and demand to finally meet him, the guilty trio decides to hire washed-up actor Rod to bring him to life. This movie was actually so much better than I expected it to be. It's just fun. It reminds me of 2000's comedies.

One thing you guys didn't point out that I think is underrated but I loved was that Andrew Santino's character got his comeuppance. He's the only one of the trio who never felt any regret or never felt guilty enough to want to tell the truth. I'm glad his wife's words weren't just empty threats she makes because as we see in the credits she does follow through with it about having him live outside for half a year for how terrible he was to her with all his lies and deceiving. Also happy Ricky got together with Carly, they were so cute together.

Hello, I agree the cast knock it out of the park, however the plot was stupid. I kept wondering how these characters got married to the point where they gave up trying to find someone they actually loved and said fuck it and compromise. Why doesn’t the men take their wives to concerts etc, you would think the men would want to have there significant others go with them and have super great time.
