Those were the good old days… Mil Mascara, The Great Mighty Igor , Junk yard dog and the rest of them used to keep me entertained as a child. Those days were gone forever.

Wrestling Mil Mascaras must be like almost wrestling an octopus, the man has so many moves and dexterity. This match has to be one of the most scientific matches I've ever seen

He’d already been wrestling full time nearly 18 years at this point and he didn’t fully retire until 2019

Wow! Two of the greatest scientific wrestlers who ever lived: Mil Mascaras and Rick Steamboat. What a privilege it is to watch this video.

Gracias por dejarnos ver la lucha anteriores a estos medios del yubtube son muy importantes para los fanáticos de mil máscaras
I would have loved to see Mascaras wrestle Bob Backlund for the WWF title.

Rare match with almost all holds, except for a couple of bodyslams. Mil pins ricky with his own wwf finisher, but then reverses it for the 2nd fall. Abdominal stretch off to end. Do any modern wrestlers use these holds anymore??

I dont think so. The art of true pro wresling has been lost long ago, and this match is a Picasso

Why is there no barricade at ringside? Don't they worry about crowd members invading the ring?
12:01 Here the school failed steambot. Thousand Masks placed him on the ground so that Ricky could place some clamps around his neck but he didn't know what to do and Thousand Masks only placed his back flat twice.
A couple of times, Mascaras even looks like he’s selling for Ricky. Definite sign of respect from the guy who once asked, “Why should I sell for some …” [let’s just say] no-talent clown? 😏

Not every day we see a 2 out of 3 Falls Match, especially when there is no Championship on the line.

Yes, but this is Japan, he would probably never even agreed to do a job for Rick back in the USA. You could have these kind of matches and finishes in Japan between two superstarsd.

The continuous changing of control of the "pumping" ab-stretches at the end was awesome...I think Mil DEFINITELY had more ride time than Rick 💪😏

Now it makes me wonder when he became Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat? Also if it had anything to do with his time in Japan?? He is Japanese-American... Still want to know he became the Dragon 🐉
