If only Dan Marino had Ricky Williams in his backfield, then the Miami Dolphins would not have been over reliant on Dan and over reliant on Ricky. Unfortunately, the Dolphins were over reliant on both exceptional players and if they played at the same time, it was more than likely Ricky Williams would not need to self medicate due to playing too much and too hard! :-(

Every time I see Ricky Williams highlights it breaks my heart. If he had played 15 seasons and gave it his all, we'd be calling him the best RB ever. I understand who he is. I have anxiety. I'm 420. I so relate to him as a human being and I wish him nothing but the best for him on his personal journey. I'd love to buy the guy a beer and hear his stories. We'd likely be friends. But, as a football fan, I can't help but feel that he had a physical gift given to him that got wasted. Again... totally as a football fan. As just a dude, more power to him.
