Reading the comments, I guess I'm the only one who "thinks" you shaved your head backwards. So of course you will get that irritation from the cutting blade. And if you shaved your chest hair the same way (backwards) I can only imagine the attachments will fall off as they travel against the grain. I'm not a professional groomer, nor even a groomer at all, but my experience is to put the flat plate parallel to your head. You won't get the closest cut, but you will get a very fine cut. If you want to get closer, then stick to the razor.

Great detailed review of this trimmer, Bro. Sadly my experience mirrors your own BUT I can shave my face OK with lather & water. It is called Wahl AquaBlade for a reason! I use the Philips OneBlade for my regular dry face shave with is irritation free.

Bruh, I use the Wahl Sterling 2 Plus. Been using it for about 10 years now and haven't found anything that comes close to beating it. Comes with many attachments (4), and it's great for the dome. Doesn't give me any irritation either. Worth looking into, if you haven't already.

I've tried using the product again since the review and it's not *too* bad on the head if you avoid going over it more than once or twice, but for neck/body and cheeks when doing the beard, it's bloody painful. Still baffled that an electric trimmer gave more worse irritation than a razor 😅

I think you used the trimmer wrong by the way, your not supposed to angle the blades directly on your skin like that… your supposed to have silver flat side laying on your skin.

Of course your skin is irritated. You're using it wrong. You're not supposed to put it on your face perpendicularly.
