@@Baldcafe TRUTH! I'm 51 and have shaved my head at two points in my life when I was 25 and 30 at a time when I probably didn't "need" to do it. When I did shave it off I got very mixed responses. Some people loved it and others hated it. This time it seems almost necessary because it's gotten to the point of no return. When I throw it out there to friends that I'm thinking of shaving it again they are very apprehensive about telling me to do it. They will say why don't you just keep it the way it is (it's fairly short) but it's mostly white and makes me look even older. I'm a bit torn but I love the support I see on this channel so it gives me some comfort. This channel is one of those places where you are rooting for other people's happiness regardless of their political beliefs. That's what I love about the channel; it is politically anonymous, it unites and it's something so many people can relate to. You have a gold mine here and are doing something great. Thank you

You and me both. When I first discovered Harry's work, it was akin to a lobotomy when I was essentially changing the core beliefs that were sculpted by negative environmental factors. There's SO many people saying "it's over" or "cope" when it isn't a big deal at all. We would never shame anyone for immutable characteristics, but for some reason this is ok to other people. The one truth you have to internalize is that NOBODY GIVES A SHIT if you are bald. The most you will get from people you know is "hey, when did you shaved your head?" or if they want to be nice they'll say "you didn't have to do that yet" but that is one time thing and everyone moves on in one microsecond after saying that on your day one after shaving.

Fought going bald like hell... Used Rigaine for a few years with some success, but then thinning resumed. Got hair transplants... did well for about 6 years, and again, thinning started to hit again. Even got SMP to make thinning less noticeable, but had to keep remaining hair really short. One morning, it hit me that I was sick of the shit... clippered off what was left, then shaved my scalp clean. Never before felt such instant relief. Actually thought I looked kinda macho with slick head and beard. All those years of fighting it for naught. Like the look, like the feel... embrace baldness as a part of manhood.

@exactly1176 Failed to mention that... actually I did take fiasteride. Took perscription dosage for a few years. But my cousin (he's also my doctor) said one of the other meds I was taking... don't recall which one... would have pretty much the same results. Maybe with the passing years, it lost effect. Guess overall I kept my hair longer than expected. My Dad went bald in his early 40's. Except for a thinning crown, I kept mine into mid-50's (67 now)... that's when it thinned out super-fast. But bro (64) still has a head of hair so thick he'd never find a tick if it crawled up his neck. Shaved my head maybe 3 years ago. Maybe it was just a delayed mid-life crisis. But still, absolutely no regrets that I picked-up the razor. Unless folks are lying to my face, everyone tells me I don't look my age (maybe genetic... neither did Dad or Grandpa). Maybe that mindset made the transition to a shaved head easier. Just wish this old man had the balz to do it maybe 5 or 10 years sooner

You guys are hotter than hell! Two more examples that most men shave the wrong parts of their heads. Bald and Bearded Forever! I shaved my scalp hair 14 years ago when I had minor thinning on top and crown at age 61 (75 now) because I was thinking about a scalp tattoo. I took a clipper (no guard) from brow to neck and had to sit down to get my laughing under control. I have usually shaved it every one to three days since that first shave. I got it tattooed because that is just what I do! I will keep my scalp shaved, usually with a Babyliss Pro foil shaver (no nicks!) and keep my beard forever until I am too old to care anymore! Bald and Bearded is simply the best look for mature men. Anyone who thinks about it very much really owes it to himself to give it a try, as all the Bald Cafe videos attest. It became an addiction to me, I think, because I am highly susceptible to addiction, but I now have all of the bad ones well controlled!

@@Baldcafe what's more bonkers is letting it happen, not realising hair greatly enhances your looks and to 99% of women. Could have been more pro active with finasteride, nizoral or for a hair transplant and possibly could have prevented it. I might be bald now also if I didn't take the action needed now my hair is full and looks better than ever

@@BryanK-y5yWe did consider all of that and had some gnarly side effects from minox so we just decided to embrace the bald! Thanks for the feedback- it just seemed like a lot of work and ultimately not worth it for us. We do respect it when people want to go that route, though.

​@@BaldcafeI can. I think most fear the cone head/pointy head look. Look at Trey Gowdy. He's desperately trying to keep his hair. His head even with hair you can see he has a very elongated and pointed on top. He wouldn't look good bald. I know no one wants to admit it but it's true. Not everyone has a nice cranium size and shape for a total bald head. Sucks

@danceswithcomicbooks7733 But ya' won't know until ya' try. I felt the same way... thought my forehead was too sloped toward the back of my head. Was afraid it'd give me a weak and wuss appearance. Has a completely different look once all the hair was shaved off. I like my slick, bald head and wouldn't have my hair back if offered. It was fine and stuck out like a rooster's tail anyhow. Add my beard and stash to the mix, and my lady friend said she likes the manly look.
