So this is weird af, since July 2019 I've had the "your software isnt supported" error. Couldnt update my phone. Tried smart switch 3 days ago. No update available. Stressed me out so I thought I'd back it up and reset to factory settings and try to update. Plugged my phone in to smart switch and theres the update available. Downloaded and installed absolutely fine. Now running android 11 with the latest security patch. Many thanks it's been driving me mad for 2 years 😂😂😂

Well despite the long delay sure tou are really happy now. This happens allot and most people as you cant be bothered until absolitely necessary. You lucked out most cases tou would have to reset then update. Glad yoi gor it sorted though.

Your only other optionis a manual update by downloading the firmware or Rom and flashing it on.

Download proper drvers for your device. Also make sure you are using the right software for your phone.

Restart -if I mean reset I usually mean that. Backing up and reseting is the final sugested solution in this guide if memory serves me right.

Hi everyone i could update mobile with samsung smart switch but it was so slow... i didnt want to use 2nd method because i didnt want to lose warranty for my phone so i contacted samsung support. they've told me to backup files using smart swicth and then reset phone on factory settings so i made backup using smart switch and also using my google acc. and also i copied all my files to computer u know just in case hhahahah . That solved my problem and i still have my warranty so i recommend u first try to reset phone to factory settings and if that doesnt work try something else. Good luck !

If smart switch wont do the update you may have to backup and reset. The phone will update after that as normal in most cases.

The easiest solution to this is looking for the cp file from your firmware and flashing it under AP slot in Odin, and voila it's solved.
