Hey Thomas, yes, that's possible, but I recommend talking to the lawyer in charge of the PR to double-check everything else, as it can be a quite individual process.

Beautiful country with lots of good reasons to migrate there. That's why it's almost impossible. Unless you have a passport issued by an EU country your chances are about nil. Even brain surgeons and rocket scientists struggle. If you're a multi millionaire then it's a different story.

Good information! thanks! more questions about the NHS contribution: what kind of coverage will you get from this? do you also need extra private medical insurance for living in Cyprus?
@Rico3 жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks for the comment. I myself don't have extra private insurance, but other people do, this depends very much on your individual situation. I think this is a little complex, so the best thing is to talk to a local insurance agent and ask him. I wish you all the best!

Great video! What do you do about banking (Corporate and Personal)? Cyprus banks don't exactly have the best reputation in the world, but I wonder if it has improved?
@Rico3 жыл бұрын
Hey Jay, thanks for your feedback and I absolutely understand your concerns. In fact, I did a research on this topic and the banking has definitely improved here in Cyprus, however from a UX perspective I just like Fintechs, because they are very fast and convenient. I use them for personal and corporate banking.

But anyway this is an island, so can you recommend this place for living for a long-term living with family? For 10-20 years for example or you will come back to Germany (I suppose you are from there), because Cyprus can become too boring for living? How do you think?
@Rico3 жыл бұрын
Hey, this is a very good question. Honestly, I think Cyprus is a very good place for a family and I don't see why it should be more boring than Germany. I see a lot of families here with happy kids, always smiling, playing at the sea or in their pool. You can rent a very big house for relatively low money (compared to Germany for example) so every kid definitely has their own room. Also, the schools and doctors here are very good if you choose the right ones & in the future this will only be improved. So I think Cyprus is getting more and more attractive with fun things to do, especially for families. I'd love to see my kids growing up at the sea, in a big house with relaxed and happy neighbours and a warm climate. Hope this helps, Rico.

I noticed that at (1:08) while you were stopped at the red light, the car next to you did not make a left turn until the light turned green. I assume that you cannot make a left turn at a red light in Cyprus, as opposed to here in N America where you are allowed to make a right turn at a red light (in most places) after coming to a complete stop, and when it is clear of pedestrians and cars in your path. Thanks ...
@Rico Жыл бұрын
Hey William, nice to see you here! Well noticed. It's not allowed to just turn here. There are only a handful of lights with an additional light for turning, but in whole Paphos there are maybe 5 of them. Normally we stop until it's green again, for both, driving straight and turning.
