Ricotta & Mozzarella Pizza with Hot Honey.
NOTE: Make dough about 48-72 hours before pizza day. Dough recipe on Casita Made website (link in bio).
PIZZA INGREDIENTS
+ Marinara sauce (see recipe below)
+ Fresh mozzarella, cubed
+ Ricotta cheese
+ Pizza oil/Olive oil
+ Hot honey
SAUCE INGREDIENTS:
*Makes 6 medium-sized pizzas.
+ 28oz (794g) San Marzano tomatoes
+ 7g fine sea salt
+ 1/4 yellow onion, sauteed
+ 3 cloves garlic
+ 1/4 C fresh basil
DOUGH

+ STEP 1: SAUCE
Add all sauce ingredients to a blender and blend until nearly smooth. Simmer for 15-20 minutes, covered.
+ STEP 2: STRETCH DOUGH
Add flour to a bowl and then dust your work surface with semolina flour. Add your dough ball to the bowl to fully coat with flour, then dust off the excess. Transfer your dough to the work surface and flatten the dough ball beginning in the center and working your way to the outer diameter. Stretch out your dough until it’s about 1/8-inch thick.
+ STEP 3: BUILD
Add the sauce to the pizza dough and spread it out evenly leaving about 1-inch from the edge of the dough uncovered. Top with mozzarella and ricotta cheese. Drizzle a little pizza oil or olive oil on top. Transfer the dough to the pizza peel.
+ STEP 4: COOK
Transfer the pizza to the pizza oven and bake. Remove from oven.
+ STEP 5: SERVE
Top pizza with hot honey and slice.
