Wow . He learned fast. I tried for first time today on grass, a little too bumpy , in a hot blazing sun . My shin couldn't stand the pain , my angles on my wheel weren't calibrated right so it cut out when leaned making me restart and I almost died from the exertion and heat combined . It is important to stay out of the heat while doing this . The stress and body exertion is enough to make you sweat . I'm 68 which isn't going to make it any easier .

Thank you for posting this video and your 12-step video. I’m 55 and I had never ridden an EUC before picking up a new 16X last week. I took my computer in the garage and followed your videos using the garage wall. After about an hour I was off and running around the neighborhood. All the extra reps really paid off and I’ve been having a blast on it. Thanks again for the videos!!

Awesome teaching, congratulations. I taught three guys to ride, and I must say is a magic experience, like teaching a kid to walk. My approach is a bit different, having no support from scratch (wall or railing), step 1) one leg on the wheel other on ground make little steps... 5 mins... 2) same.. bit longer step s 5 mins.. and 3) keep with same until you feel in a unforced, relaxed and natural way, you can mount the other leg too. It worked perfectly with the three guys. Kind of magical feeling, because they expected a much harder training.

You might want to explain that tilting (inner foot down, outer foot up) an electric unicycle causes it to turn (due to camber effect), independent of weight or body lean. For slow speed tight turns, a rider barely leans, but tilts an EUC a lot, and for EUCs with wider tires (like 3 inches wide), at higher speed, a rider leans more than the EUC is tilted. Twisting an EUC also works, but is mostly used for slow speed. At the tennis court, it looked like it would have been better to go across the end of the tennis courts, since there were no benches in the way. From what I see in the video, the riders were riding fast enough for the EUC to become stable and essentially self-balancing. I started off at unnecessarily slow speed, 3 mph or so, using arm flailing and twisting, doing laps around a tennis court, but switched to a long straight where I found my V8F became stable at around 6 to 8 mph and I no longer had to make balance corrections. I then learned to tilt steer. I ride a motorcycle, and my experience is looking doesn't turn, only control movements. For example, I look to the side and back before changing lanes. One of my goals when learning to ride an EUC was to be able to move my arms and look around without upsetting balance or changing direction, which took a few weeks (about 30 minutes a day, 3 or 4 days a week).
