Living near trails is a big factor for me! I live 200 yards from a trailhead that leads to endless miles of dirt. I feel lucky to have access so close. Makes it easy to sneak in quick short rides.

@Miguel-ex5vf - You are lucky to live that close to the trails! When time permits, I will pedal from my house to the trail and count that as extra exercise.

Some very good points there 👍🏻 I use to only ride weekends because I work a lot of hours during the week but I’ve found that I’m simply unable to build my endurance riding weekends only. If I can get one ride in mid week, my endurance will get better and I won’t constantly be sucking wind. When I don’t get that mid week ride in, the climbs kill me and I’m just not able to do more than a couple hours of riding at a time. I’ve actually payed close attention to what it takes and my conclusion is gotta ride at least once every 4 days to build endurance. Great video!

@troyesch6203 - You bring up a good point, everyone may have a different amount of riding to build up the base they need to enjoy riding instead of just suffer with the hard work. For me I have to ride 3-4 times per week with a mix of short and long rides.

@@elroobike I wish I could ride 3-4 times a week. I just don’t have the time. Just saying for me, in order for my endurance to get better so I can ride longer and my HR hitting 170 regularly, it’s gotta be twice a week minimum for me. Maybe I just need to ride at night after work but that’s tough after a 10-12 hour work day
