@@RailVideosNILiving in Manchester U.K. 23 years and coming home to Ireland on visits to friends and family, I’ve used the DART on a few occasions since and compared to the time when I lived in Ireland, I’m most impressed by the DART trains, especially when travelling with a heavy suitcase - lifts, level boarding, loads of space, longer trains, so always guaranteed a seat, helpful, polite, chatty, friendly, customer-focused Irish Rail staff, always willing to help, including with ticket machines (and even showed me ways of how to save money on tickets when travelling) - compared to the Metrolink Trams here in Manchester, even the (newer) LUAS Trams in Dublin are not quite as good as the DART trains are in my experience

I’d love to see the DART trains going to Navan when they extend the M3 Parkway line - once the high speed rail tunnel under the Irish Sea gets built from Holyhead to Dublin and once there is a LUAS or DART underground built from the Irish Ferries/Stena terminals at Dublin Port via Dublin Docklands Rail station, getting home to family in Dunshaughlin from Manchester Victoria on a direct SailRail train from Hull via Leeds and Manchester Victoria will be so much easier, without needing to use flying and air travel
